Welcome to Somnia's fifth ATP & EMP Meme! This is the place to be if you're interested in the game's setting, if you're unsure about who you'd like to bring or if you just want to check out the vibes. Remember that the EMP is open to all, and you don't need an invite to participate in the slightest!

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR THIS APP ROUND: With September marking the start of the game's second arc, there will be a setting shift and thus we'll be skipping a TDM/app round for that month to better situate our current players. With that said, our next app round after this one will only being in October, so I've decided to uncap the game and thus the number of apps coming in this round and going forward (at least until where I feel like I can handle it).

IN SUMMARY, If you have interest in apping, now might be a good time if you do not wish to wait three months for the next round, or risk the game getting capped again!



Dates to note are as follows:

- EVENT/TDM: June 1st
- RESERVES: June 12th
- APPS: June 19th - 24th

An opportunity for players who do not have invites to post their interest in receiving one will be available on the TDM as a mod comment to reply to. Current players may extend their invites, and if you don't know anyone in the game, the mod will make a decision to send an invite (note that this does not guarantee one). Just like our EMP, you do not need an invite to participate in the TDM, either— only to reserve and app.

airplane contains multitudes. he's a former author of a sloppy web novel with an insane writing schedule of 10,000 words per day, current immortal master toiling thanklessly in the background OF said novel to take care of every boring background detail he didn't bother to write about. he's been living in his own novel for longer than he was alive in his first life. he's a self-centered coward who can cry on command and prefers to play dead in fights. if you ask him how to woo a man, he'll say with his whole chest that the best strategy is to be pathetic and clingy. he's known how everyone around him (including himself!!) is going to die since the infancy of his second life, which did some very normal things to his already super regular ability to form relationships. he's an extremely funny guy who if you spend, like, 30 seconds considering his circumstances has Really Been Through It.

but it's ok. he stays silly.

Vessel Type & General ideas: i'm planning to go for trickster! i love that it's got a sneaky, non-combative skillset and that it's got built in identity messiness, perfect for a guy whose personal identity is very messy between the various roles he's played at between his two lives. i also love the vulnerability to truth-telling magic and being bound by oaths, given his dishonest and slippery nature. on a similar note, i'm really interested in playing around with the dichotomy between the waking world and the dreamscape; i think it'd be super fun if he resembled shang qinghua in one space and xiang fei in the other, since canonically they look pretty much Nothing alike. i'm also really excited to play around with tethering, since he's SO allergic to emotional intimacy and letting people close in canon.

in terms of stuff he can bring to the game... he can cook!! he can clean!! he can mend your clothes!!!! he can even give you (not very good) romantic advice!!!!! he can write pornography of dubious quality!!!!! in all sincerity he actually has a very wide and varied skillset that touches base on basically Any area of logistics you can think of... most of which probably aren't applicable due to the apocalytic nature of the setting...

i'm not familiar with supernatural disaster management bureau, but from what i'm seeing on your information posts it looks really interesting! the concept of a governmental agency trying to manage various supernatural nonsense is always a fun and crunchy one.

ABSOLUTELY put him to work. he will probably mutter mutinously under his breath the whole time but he is actually incredibly efficient at it. bonus of getting stuck fixing your secret demon boss' messed upclothes when he crashes at your place after getting into trouble: you get Really good at laundry and mending

if there's a menial chore that exists... shang qinghua has probably done it, haha! both for a sect and for spoiled demon princes. that feel when you're fourth out of twelve in ranking of leadership, but get zero respect in the sect bc your peak is in charge of a bunch of boring busywork[1]

Among other things, Mo Ran's sect, Sisheng Peak deliberately does not practice inedia. He will talk endlessly about the peak's cafeteria with its really great food!

Fortunately, Airplane will not need to babysit Mo Ran. Unfortunately, he will be a disciple who does not shut up about his shizun. :V
