Welcome to Somnia's fifth ATP & EMP Meme! This is the place to be if you're interested in the game's setting, if you're unsure about who you'd like to bring or if you just want to check out the vibes. Remember that the EMP is open to all, and you don't need an invite to participate in the slightest!

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR THIS APP ROUND: With September marking the start of the game's second arc, there will be a setting shift and thus we'll be skipping a TDM/app round for that month to better situate our current players. With that said, our next app round after this one will only being in October, so I've decided to uncap the game and thus the number of apps coming in this round and going forward (at least until where I feel like I can handle it).

IN SUMMARY, If you have interest in apping, now might be a good time if you do not wish to wait three months for the next round, or risk the game getting capped again!



Dates to note are as follows:

- EVENT/TDM: June 1st
- RESERVES: June 12th
- APPS: June 19th - 24th

An opportunity for players who do not have invites to post their interest in receiving one will be available on the TDM as a mod comment to reply to. Current players may extend their invites, and if you don't know anyone in the game, the mod will make a decision to send an invite (note that this does not guarantee one). Just like our EMP, you do not need an invite to participate in the TDM, either— only to reserve and app.

Brief Info: Former knight turned bartender and nations wide intelligence gatherer. He moonlights as another defender of his city. His sense of humor is dry and his idea of justice used to be very black and white. It has gotten grayer over time. That said he was raised with the idea that he serves the people, not the other way around. He's the sort of noble that will fall on his sword sooner than endanger those who can't defend themselves.

He's been learning how to be a person outside of those roles in recent times. But finding the balance between servant of the people, and friend of those in his inner circle is taking some time!
Vessel Type & General ideas: I'm torn between a Drake Offering, and going Elemental Token. Either way I want to do a different element from the one he generally wields. It feels fun to throw him off and he'll have to find his footing. I'm thinking leaning towards wind for the element of token or drake. A nice middle ground. He's technically already takes more damage from his opposite.

But I'm open to him exploring fire in a different way. I just think it will be more fun to throw him off. I'll think it over. I've got a lot ideas.

Yes, please bring the bartender. They need someone to bless them with the dandelion wine wisdom since they're short on other things to ferment into liquor and likely going through their supply quickly...

DILUC. I retired Genshin years ago, but when I still played, he was my favorite. 💕 I'd love to see Diluc around!! Caelus would absolutely adore him. And also… bartending buddies!

Bartending buddies! and yeah, he is one of my favs. I'm happy to see so much love for him! leaning more towards Drake the more I think about it.

Drake is a wonderful choice! Dvalin was my immediate thought too when it comes to theming. City of wind and all that, so I don't think Diluc would complain too much if he gained something related to it since he's so patriotic. ✨

There’s a greenhouse project going on right now led by Lortel and Ratio. Diluc could easily contribute to figuring out if the wacky new plants resulting from that can be made into wine or not. A chronomancer probably could speed figuring out the end result up too.

I love you wanting to throw him off, that’s the approach I took to Ratio too, making him a Kimera.

If your goal is to throw him off, I think going offering definitely aids in that more due to the more extreme physical and mental changes.

Drake instinct impulses you could have fun with Diluc trying to control I think. Plus, could draw a bit aesthetically from Dvalin as a nod to Diluc’s role in all that.

You really nailed your choices though! Only other thing that comes to mind is Valkerie and going full owl or phoenix with Diluc. Some wind manipulation there too.

And you are on the same page with me. I thought about those too. But I love that nod to Dvalin and yeah. The serious types are always more fun if I throw them off. Noted on the greenhouse project! He could definitely offer up his expertise/help experiment to see what they get.

Oh 100% agree. Serious types should suffer more weird things. Also I am looking at your old pals and the current cast like LOL. The HSRs and some others have taken over the Crosby Hotel. Diluc’s absorption into the group may be inevitable. They do need a new bartender.

SAMMM this is ori, the former wanderer player from folkmore! so excited to see you again! this time i'm playing a charismatic mafia underboss and WW1 veteran from 1925 italy who also has a noble upbringing (he's basically nobility in his mafia family), so i think cr with diluc could be really neat 👀

god that reminds me i still need to check out the newer mondstadt content! i just came back to genshin a few weeks ago after falling off at the beginning of natlan and then not being able to access my account for almost a year so i've been busy trying to catch up with the nod-krai story haha

nicola, on the other hand, came from the least chill canon point ever (his boss got murdered, had the biggest crashout and then died trying to avenge him) and although his cr has helped restore a lot of sanity and said boss is in this game now he still has a few screws loose... but he does a pretty good job of pretending to be normal most of the time

you know i would love to have you here in general, sam!! also drake sounds cool for diluc and i know you like your dragon imagery. i wondered about seraph for his sense of justice, but tbh it seems a little too divine, maybe. and drake has a lot more you can play with.

i'll have gorgug here to play off you, i've taken him from sophomore year and he'll be a golem. but i'll also be tdming another guy who's older (harry mason, idk if you silent hill - shattered memories variation) so maybe that could be interesting cr too.

I do indeed silent hill! I think both will be some fascinating cr. And yeah, I love my dragon imagery. It has a lot he can lean on but also, things to throw him off. He’s had fire so long. Something new will feel like a rug pull.
