I get it, ya know? Being alone and feeling you have nothing to live for, especially when the people you cared for and loved aren't with you. You're staring down at the barrel of a gun and thinking, "Who gives a crap if I'm still here? I've created enough problems." β And then, some savior whisks you away from that and tells you, "You're needed; it's not too late to change," and saves you from yourself and makes you feel...you have a friend.
I'm not gonna tell you to not believe in her or to not feel some kind of, I dunno, gratitude for what she did for you. But... if she is some symbol of hope for you, or should be for all of us, having us digging around for scraps, dealing with cold and dark, and pinning ourselves against each other with her mumbo jumbo mind magic or whatever she has isn't what a good goddess would do to or for their people.
And sure! There's this thing about not meddling too much in mortals' lives; I buzzed off the same way when my gentlefolk were screaming for me, and I didn't show. Or maybe she's right and this One guy is behind all of this; beats me.
But when things get bad, really bad... you don't turn your back or look the other way on your people. Whether they're on your side or not, your "blessings" shouldn't go out to selective people. It should go out to all of us. You think we oughta understand her? Think she needs healing? Well, that's a two-way gig. We need to heal, and we need to be understood, but all she wants is for us to worship her and build her up.
