ᛗ CHARACTER Name: Sirius Uhr Canon: OC Blurp: Sirius is one of eight people that have been blessed with magic by a nameless goddess, who was created by humanity's imagination and desire for there to be something after death. Each mage carries a piece of that original wish inside their magic. As the star mage, Sirius's magic holds the promise of a guiding light in the darkness.
Mages are transformed into a being of pure magic energy wrapped around an echo of their human self. They no longer feel human. They are similar to corpses that are kept alive by magic but their magic gives the illusion that they are still human. All of magic is fueled by imagination and mages can use their memories of being human to feel like one again, although it doesn't feel quite real, their senses feel more like looking back at the memory their imagination recreated. Sirius’s magic comes from an otherworldly source. Due to his magic’s unnatural nature, and humanity’s fear influencing his magic, his magic slowly damages the world around him. He lives with the eternal dilemma of whether he has the right to live or not given his catastrophic existence.
Sirius is a quiet bookworm who was chosen as the leader of the mages, a role he feels he can never live up to. He's haunted by his shortcomings and the consequences of his dangerous existence but he hides all of that behind a gentle smile and quiet charisma that draws others to him as he struggles to be the leader everyone needs him to be. (He has a more detailed character info page on his journal here)
Vessel Type & General ideas: I'm thinking of going with Offering for him, twisting his star magic and ability to travel into dreams into the monster he sees himself as, a wraith that consumes dreams. He has a lot of regrets so chronomancer would be fun too. I might play with both options on the tdm. I haven't decided yet.
I don't have any specific plans other than explore the game's amazing setting and seeing what kind of bonds Sirius forms with others. Due to his magic being tied to his soul his grasp on his humanity is already dim so he will need help not to succumb to Sleep's infection.
