Welcome to Somnia's first EMP! This is the place to be if you're interested in the game's setting, if you're unsure about who you'd like to bring or if you just want to check out the vibes. Remember that the EMP is open to all, and you don't need an invite to participate in the slightest!

Criminally insane, Jinx has a love for wanton chaos, destruction, and anarchy, and gets easily bored if these reckless urges are left unsatisfied for too long. Jinx isn't shown to think much about the consequences of her behavior and generally acts before thinking, which can lead to people getting hurt easily when around Jinx. While she is clearly a gifted inventor, Jinx is also extremely scatterbrained, forgetting scientific terms and instead imitating gun noises while she constructs her weapons.

Jinx is often portrayed to be hyperactive and very childish, complaining when she doesn't get what she wants and calling others by immature names, giving Vi nicknames such as "Fat-Hands" and "Stupid". With her carefree, self-centered attitude, Jinx doesn't care about money, order, or what others think about her and just destroys what she wants when she wants. Despite this, she still likes to get recognition for her many crimes and is capable of showing off to the Piltover police, knowing that no matter what goes down, she will always get away.

Despite her immature and silly demeanor, Jinx is still a significant force of evil and malice, even if in her crazed mind she sees it as a game. She would put on a veneer of a bubbly and energetic person, only to hide the hurt and trauma of past events. She's also very sarcastic, extroverted with a twisted sense of humor.

Vessel Type & General ideas:

If I pull through, I'm choosing Token as her vessel, and I'm deciding between Aquamancer, Aeromancer, or Pyromancer.

And as for her canon point, I'm thinking pulling her in the beginning of E9 from S2 while she is in the middle of [REDACTED]. I... don't have any general ideas but beyond that, haha?? I'm about, I don't know, maybe 90% sure I want to give this game a try, but there's still that 10% I won't. Just depends on how TDM will go!

I'll be taking him from ep nine, shortly after he and viktor nuked the astral plane.

I've got two characters I'm considering! Putting them in different comments just to keep things tidy.

Name: Ozpin

Former headmaster of a school for monster hunters, full-time immortal with a really inconvenient way of reincarnating. Ozpin is like any typical mysterious and powerful mentor figure that's never as much help as it seems like he should be, only the audience actually gets to see why he's like that. Turns out the answer is that he's depressed, exhausted, overly cautious, still reeling from a violent divorce 2000+ years ago, and way too passive. Overall he's a well-meaning guy that's running himself ragged trying to keep the world turning, but he's still a manipulative lair.

He's also just kind of a weirdo who's way too amused by his own antics. Mind you, said antics include giving children swords that are also guns, embarrassing his successor in front of his peers, launching his students off a cliff on their first day at school, and drinking hot cocoa out of a fancy teapot.

Vessel Type & General ideas:
It's always so hard to choose monster types for me and this time I can't even choose between token or vessel! So my tentative ideas for each are:

For token, my top choice is Chronomancer! Ozpin can use time magic in canon and already has themes of fractured memories/personalities in his backstory! Also he's got a fixation on clocks, and I think it would be very funny to inflict the 'aura messes up clocks' weakness on him.

For offering, I'm torn between Trickster (trickster aspects + identity horror just suit him), Seraph (he is on a literal mission from god even if he's not enjoying said mission), and Lycan (because he's Wizard of Oz themed and I can turn him into Toto do you guys see my vision).

A foxian doctor who pioneered a new kind of medicine via culinary skill and good food, riddled with wartime trauma, polite yet deeply sarcastic, and recently blinded in an attack by a longtime enemy of his people but ultimately prevailed due to his cunning.

Vessel Type & General ideas:

Bloodwright, probably? He's very tied into healing as a character, so it'd be interesting to give him the ability to do it magically -- it would also be very interesting that it has the equal ability to harm, something he would struggle incredibly with if it ever goes out of control.

My two character options that I'm picking here would either be interesting on a day-to-day basis for the basic living situation of the characters, or would be interesting on a long-term plot basis. Jiaoqiu is the former; being a doctor, he would be instrumental in a post-apocalyptic setting, and being a chef, he would be able to make even rations palatable. He's a largely polite character and gets on with most, though he has a vicious streak of sarcasm. He's a scholar, and so would be interested in learning about this world and its god, though he doesn't have great experiences with gods.

The connection function would be especially interesting for him, given that Jiaoqiu's largely dead inside. He was a wartime medic for so long that it gave him significant trauma, causing his emotions (and his sense of taste) to shut down. So, making connections is a rare thing for him.

A demigod who slew her own godly body to live as a spirit inhabiting a porcelain and metal doll -- life-sized, four-armed, blue-skinned, with a comically large witch hat. She encouraged the MC of Elden Ring of kill all the corrupt gods (including her own family) so that Ranni could become the new, fairer god

Vessel Type & General ideas:

For Ranni, I'm not sure entirely sure! Definitely a monster type, since it would be frankly hilarious to have a doll body turning into a monster. Probably something bird-like, or angelic.

If Jiaoqiu is the character I thought would be interesting on a day-to-day living situation basis for this game, Ranni is the one that would be interesting for how she can relate to the plot. One: she'd indulgently find it amusing to have been tugged into this place by a fellow god, but would be irritated at not being able to leave, to say the least, as she is not a fan of most other gods. Two: she relates heavily to the moon, being a Lunar Princess and using lunar magic.

Personality wise, she would be somewhat difficult to get on with for most other characters. She speaks in a way I can only describe as gently Shakespearean with riddles and enigmas, she doesn't clearly say what she means all that often, and she's just kind of manipulative. Underneath all of that, though, she's a good person (despite the god she murdered and the war she kicked off)! She wants the best for people, and is willing to sacrifice everything about herself for it. She would also just be kind of hilarious to have around, because of waves hands everything that she is and the way that she behaves. She would be very interested in studying the magic here, as she comes from a royal family of scholars.

Also, she's many many eons old, forged very connections, and forging more here would be a WHOLE EXPERIENCE for her.

I can see why she'd be hard to manage in a game, but man it would be cool to see her around. I feel like she and Ozpin could be really fun and unhelpfully vague together.

Viktor is a scientist focused primarily on mechanical engineering and MAGIC BABY!! His ambition for progress is fueled by growing up "on the wrong side of the tracks" so to speak, where pollution and poverty caused himself and others to develop illnesses or birth defects. He's selfishly motivated by his own need to prolong his life, but it comes with a big helping of wanting to extend the benefits of his research to others in need.

SEASON TWO SPOILERS: After he's forced to become One with his magical rubix cube, he gets very in touch with the arcane and magic but also loses a lot of his humanity. I'm planning to take him from the end of the series when he's woken up to some of the horrors he's created, like turning people into robots... with good intention!!! But he's got a lot of trauma to process, a lot of issues trusting himself, a lot of weirdness going on with his body, and a bunch of other juicy things to explore!

THERE ARE MANY COOL OPTIONS but I'm leaning the most heavily towards a runecaster Token because well iykyk 👀 A big chunk of Viktor's life and scientific research has revolved around runes and figuring out how to combine them to achieve different effects, so it would be perfect for him AND I also have some fun ideas about how use over time will change his appearance. I think an artificer would also suit him, but idk man I'm so drawn to the runes! (pun intended)

Blurb:
Maria is the 16 year old adoptive sister of Richter Belmont, daughter of a Russian Speaker named Tera. Secretly (well not so much now) her father was the Abbot Emmanuel of the church in Machecoul. Turned out in the first season he was the Forgemaster making all the night creatures in the area. She's a revolutionary at heart that wants equality and justice -- well, for the most part.

She went through a whole bunch of stuff in Season 2 and she's changed a lot from the first season. I'd be bringing her hot off the heels of that while she's still trying to adjust and adapt.

Vessel Type & General ideas:
I'm thinking either an Offering Drake or a Token Shadowbinder or Beastkin. Season 2 sees her gaining a dragon familiar by tapping into the darker side of her abilities. I like the Shadowbinder as a call back to that darker magic of hers and how her emotions hold so much sway over how her magic works. The Beastkin is obviously because of all of her familiars.

Sunny is a fearful and frightful 16-year-old boy who hasn't left his house in about four years. Grief and trauma have caused him to become a recluse who spends most of his time sleeping, where he gives over to a boy called Omori and traverses a vast and strange dreamscape. Very apropos of a setting like this! I don't want to give everything away yet, but tl;dr: he is very timid, very jumpy, and very [static noises]. Also, he is a silent/nearly-silent protagonist, which I'm going to try to play as faithfully as I can, so there may be some communication barriers to work around as we thread. >:3b

Also, for those who are familiar with the game, he will likely either be coming from a pre-lightbulb canon point, or a post-bad end canon point of some variation.

ONE MORE NOTE!!! I use this journal to play both Sunny and Omori, but they are two entirely different characters, and I only plan on playing Sunny if I were to play here.

Vessel Type & General ideas: I am VERY torn on whether or not to make him a token or an offering. BOTH SUIT HIM FOR VARIOUS REASONS. He definitely has an "I'm a monster" complex, which is fun to explore, but he also would be suited to a more mage-like role with his video game protag energy (both in a meta sense, and just the way he views himself). If I do go with a token, he will definitely be an illusionist (liar class, secret-keeper class...it's honestly perfect). I'm going to think very hard about it if I decide to post on the tdm.

I don't have a ton of specific plans yet. I'm really a "see what happens" type of RPer, so I hope to explore dynamics of the game once I'm able to dive into threading!

Lucanis is an expert assassin specializing in the execution of powerful blood mages.
After killing a high profile supremacist blood mage, he earned himself the title "The Demon of Vyrantium" and caught the eye of a magister who later captured Lucanis and forcefully inserted a demon of Spite into his body.

It is unheard of for a demon to possess a non-mage, and even if it wasn't, the binding is typically a consensual agreement between mage and demon. In Lucanis and Spite's case, theirs was unwanted on both sides, and therefore the two of them made an agreement in the name of vengeance.

Lucanis is an introvert, an insomniac, a workaholic, a lover of coffee, and a fan of trashy romance novels. He isn't used to working with a team, but he loves caring for them and cooking for them. He has trouble articulating his feelings and is his own worst critic, but deep down all he craves is acceptance.

Vessel Type & General ideas:
I would like to make him an offering, and ideally a VALKERIE. Wings are his whole thing. I could live with DRAKE or DAEMON; honestly just interested in a form that offers him a lot of the stuff he deals with already in canon.

I am more generally excited about having him cope within a dreamlike world. I love building CR with him, particularly cross-canon, and I am still determining how I will app him as far as in-game choices go. Definitely going unromanced, but I am not yet certain if I will make him 'hardened' or not.

Lucanis!!! He might've been my favorite of the Veilguard crew. Then again, I'm a sucker for characters that make pacts with demons. He would def be fun to explore in Somnia's setting, and I love the idea of him being a Valkerie!

IDK how these two would get along, but I'll def keep an eye out for your tl when the tdm rolls around!

Blurp: Toki is the rhythm guitarist for the world's most famous metal band, Dethklok! He helped save the world along with his bandmates, so that's cool. He's a pretty nice guy generally unless you piss him off too much, and he can really freak out in stressful situations. He likes cats, building models, playing video games, and not practicing the guitar. He's kind of associated with death, but don't worry about it.

Vessel Type & General ideas: Honestly I've got ideas for both types?? Obviously I was drawn to offering because hell yeah monster stuff, so that's my main plan: wraith (for the death stuff), trickster (for the bunny stuff), or daemon (counter to the whole religious upbringing thing). Buuuuuut I could also go with token, maybe, where I'd probably go necromancer (death stuff again), beastkin (loves animals), or artificer (extreme model building!!!). Still leaning offering but I'll consider it.

Anyway hiiiii I was missing being in a game. No super specific plans right now beyond just throwing stuff at the wall! I'd be taking him in post-canon, so after saving the world... well, there's this now.

Theseus is literally the guy from Greek Mythology, the late king of Athens and the drama queen of Hades. After his death he was honored as a Hero and admitted to the highest level of the Underworld, Elysium, and became one of its endbosses who gatekeeps players to this day. The game's interpretation of Theseus is the ancient Greek equivalent of a diva celebrity, basking in the attention of his undead "subjects" and holding spectacular gladiator fights where he is the (only) recognized Champion. He also somehow manages to be chuuni about it, despite all of the above literally happening. He named all his attacks, and calls them out loud when fighting, in a world where this is not normal. He is not normal.

Theseus is great at compartmentalization, bad at accepting fault, and a massive sore loser. He can be callous, cruel, and petty, but also honorable and noble. Basically, he is that one Marina and the Diamonds album. You know the one.

Vessel Type & General ideas: Offering because who can resist the irony of the legendary Monster Slayer becoming a Monster.

Seraph is tempting because it would be very funny if Theseus looked literally angelic but still had That Voice and That Personality, but Daemon will probably win out. He could have the smallest and least noticeable of physical changes (tiny Party City horns, perhaps a tail) and it'll make him cry and throw things.

I'm not sure if I know anyone or if I'll get an invite, so I might not make it in the first app round, but I would really like to try and will attempt the Test Drive Meme!

Blurp: Hey so you know how people say "estrogen could save her"? What happens when the her in question rips the estrogen out, imbues it with a bunch of character traits she doesn't like, and then throws it off a cliff to die slowly at the bottom in a massive pool of its own blood?

Anyway, this is Saint Trina. She's the patron saint of sleep from Elden Ring, and other half of Miquella the Unalloyed/the Kind/the idiot who got called out BY Trina.

And she's offended that this "sleep" god is using HER domain to spread the worst parts of what look like the Frenzied Flame and Scarlet Rot. 0/10

She is born from a desire to help the afflicted, and imbued with Miquella's love, so she's a generally good person that just wants to do the right thing.

It's just that sometimes "the right thing" is killing the person you love most - your literal other half - to save them from themselves.

Vessel Type & General ideas: Probably some kind of magic user... light or illusion. Though pyromancy would be a funny completely off-brand thing to get used to.

Considering she basically is a sentient water lily, if she does end up a monster, she's already slated into one of the types, but I think I'll, once again, make her a magetype.

Something to remind her of Miquella and make her Very Sad.

You ever find out you're the good half of a girl that was burned alive decades ago by a cult, and the only way to save your dad is to accept the darker part of yourself or die? Yeah, and people think high school is rough.

Sharon has spent the last near decade running from a cult that wanted to drag her back to a ghost town to birth a god. She craves friendship and normalcy (though let’s be real, she’s more likely to get the former here, whoops). She's snarky with deep-seated trust issues. But she's also kind, loyal, and won't leave someone to die without trying to help first.

As I want to take her from just after merging with the other half of her soul, Sharon would be coming in struggling with her identity, and would likely adopt another alias as she tries to come to terms with where she is, and who she is (along with some worry about who else from her world might have been taken).

Vessel Type & General ideas:

I'm leaning Token (for now), and will be aiming for Pyromancer, Shadowbinder, or Necromancer. Pyromancer might be a bit too on the nose given her past, but she'd hate it.

I want to explore her as she comes to terms with who she is and the horrors she's committed in the name of revenge. She's going to really struggle with the fact that she hasn't rescued her dad yet, while simultaneously recognizing that she was willing to let him die. There's a lot of good shit to explore within her character!

An over six foot tall, living marionette. Created by and for the Hunters, to comfort and shepherd them as they pass through the Hunter's Dream. She loves all humans with unfaltering, nurturing dedication.

Vessel Type & General ideas:
Dreams? Unknowable entities beyond comprehension? Helping along lost souls, potentially suffering monstrous changes? Seems like the perfect game for her to me.

I'll definitely be bringing the Doll to the TDM as a Token with an Artificer specialty. Upgrading weapons and playing a support role suits her just perfect. Bonus that she could potentially begin making more dolls and the quandary that could cause. I've really been looking out for a game where I could dig into the Doll potentially discovering her own sense of personhood due to displacement from the Hunter's Dream and her purpose there. A very slow journey, but ideal for a game that plans to go on a while!

Name: Alexandrina Vina Victoria, better known by her middle name or RI callsign "Siege"
Canon: Arknights

Blurp: hailing from the AK version of the British Empire, Vina is actually the heir to the throne, though she really became disenchanted with the monarchy considering it had really done nothing to elevate her life - what with having to flee the capitol to keep from getting killed and growing up among the common folk and all. So she had a firsthand view of how things really were for those not in the nobility while living in exile in the slums.

She ends up taking charge of a small gang after beating up their previous leader Hannah, alias Indra (who becomes her second-in-command after the fact), reunites with one of the daughters of the knights that were tasked with protecting the royal family, and while she does help in driving out several factions that were vying for the throne, she instead ends up giving sovereignty to the people, becoming a Lord Protector and Speaker for Parliament rather than a monarch.

All this to say that while she is a natural leader and has what could be considered a "noble heart", she maybe seems a little lazy about things at the same time, tending to keep her distance from people. It's fine. All fine.

Vessel Type & General ideas: I mean. She's already got a head start on being a Kimera, on the Offering side. Otherwise Lightweaver or Beastkin could work on the Token side. We'll see!

Sasha is very repressed, a man who compartmentalizes everything, a control freak in the context of keeping his own mind in what he considers to be perfect order. The human psyche is also the subject of his research and he has something of a boogeyman-esque reputation for the experiments he conducts in his literally-underground lab at Whispering Rock.

Though first impressions may make him seem very much like a shady character, he's genuinely a kind, supportive person, loyal to his partner, his organization, and to overseeing the safety of the young psychics under his watch.

Very transparently, I just want to see how tossing a psychic at a game that heavily involves forming telepathic/empathic connections goes. My first Vessel choice for him is artificer, as he's absolutely the type of person who would shut himself in a room until he reinvented running water. Ach. Germs.

As everyone who talks to him for longer than a minute will hear in graphic detail, Gale Dekarios was once an archmage so brilliant and powerful that the goddess of magic herself came down from on high to make him her lover, protege, and chosen avatar of her will.

He fumbled that so badly that she now wants him to blow himself up with the unstable magical nuke he accidentally embedded in his own chest while trying to impress her. And on top of that, he might also turn into a brain-eating squid creature. (This part is not actually his own fault. Or his ex's. It's sort of unrelated.)

Gale is a guy so rizzless that it manages to swing all the way back around into genuine romantic charm, earnest and passionate about his life's work even when forced to start it all over from scratch, intensely eager to please and impress, and not really as arrogant or hung up on his ex as he initially appears--though it takes some getting to know him before that becomes apparent. He's a deep well of Former Gifted Child self-loathing who also, at the same time, thinks he both can and should become a god. He contains multitudes.

Vessel Type & General ideas:

I definitely want to make him a Token, because a Gale who wasn't something like a wizard or sorcerer would have no idea what to do with himself and probably be too sad to play, but I'm torn between Pyromancer and Aeromancer.

I'm leaning heavily toward Pyromancer, because I have a lot of fun playing with fire motifs for him in RP, and because so much of his dialogue about magic suggests that fire is really his go-to. But I like the aesthetics of Aeromancer a little better, and I don't think he'd mind it, because (a) it would give him an excuse for stupid puns about nominative determinism, and (b) he wouldn't be weak to water the way he would with fire, which would be nice because having to avoid it would bother him.

Blurp: The non-spoilery version - Imagine that every year, a giant entity known as 'The Paintress' emerged and carved a number on a monolith far off in the distance from your home. In Lumière, this happens every year, and the countdown grows ever closer to unsustainable. The number just turned 33. Every year, right after this event of death (called the Gommage), an expedition sets out to try to stop The Paintress, and up until now...no one's succeeded.

Lune is part of Expedition 33, as its resident researcher. She's a mage with a talent for the elemental and is pretty damn powerful. Trying to stop The Paintress has been her life's purpose and work, molded by her researcher parents, and she is dedicated to this mission above all else. She's a bit cold on the outside at times, doggedly determined to see things through, and is one of those folks who has plan after plan, contingency after contingency, all to try to make this work. She spirals when things go poorly, she has high walls to keep people out of her heart, and carries the weight of expectation on her shoulders. She's fascinated by folklore and learning, shows more emotion than you'd think, and while she's slow to warm to people...she's genuinely an overall caring person, she just shows it in different ways.

Vessel Type & General ideas: Lune would be a Token, as she's already a magic user and a caster.

My top choices would be: Runecaster or Lightweaver, but I would be super open to exploring Bloodwright or Beastkin (Lune's original concept design used spectral animals!) as well, because I like doing darker things.

Sleazy as he is though, he comes with his own set of rules and while he won't question most things, he does have some standards. They just might be a little more, well. Skewed is a good way to put it.

He's a criminal with a desire to match and a voice as smooth as an oil slick. Want, need - they're what drive him at the surface. But don't let him fool you too much. Monster that he is, there's a lot more to him than first meets the eye. He'll just always play it off, always wave away the idea. Because everyone wants something they can't have, right?

If you'll have my ass, I'll be taking him post canon but getting his original body back. The man's spent two years basically possessing someone, the least he can get out of the deal is being able to have his usual, handsome face.

Listen, anytime there's a choice for going monster? I'm always going to go the monster route. As for which, the top three in no particular order would be: Drake (for his possessiveness, his hoarding tendencies, the way he's overly protective of what's his, his rumbling, slurring voice), Daemon (c'mon, he's sin incarnate here and what's a little desire between good friends?), or Kimera (one because, well, FMA: B and also he's basically a huge middle finger to the natural law and order of things what being a homunculus and all).

I'm interested to see what kind of CR he can build, how he might navigate this new world, and how badly his avarice will absolutely bite him in the ass. But FEEL FREE to hit me up any time if you've got some ideas of your own! Not sure if I'll make it this app round since I'm a stranger 'round these parts, but excited to meet the lot of ya!

Blurp: Former movie star girl dad from a world that nuclear bombed itself into a "fun" apocalyptic setting. While a lot of people died during the bombs, lots of people survived too. Granted everything was irradiated to shit now, but in the words of Jeff Goldblum, "Life, uh, finds a way." and it sure did. It's been over 200 years since then and shit is still low key, and very high key depending on where you go, irradiated. Food. Water. People. Animals. Many things evolved and changed due to the radiation, freakishly large animals, weird mutated fruits and vegetables, polluted water and of course it effected humans too. Like Cooper. Some died, some lived and others the radiation mutated them into ghoulish zombie like beings.

A Ghoul. Mistreated and hated by many humans, their appearance is unnerving, but if they play their cards right they can live extended long lives. Cooper himself is over 200 years old, living from before the bombs dropped. Being around that long and living through some of the worst shit imaginable, Cooper has gone from what one could call a good man into a pessimistic and jaded ghoul who roams the wastes of a ruined world with little regard for life. He's real good at killing shit and doesn't discriminate on who or what he kills.

Quippy and what he'd consider realistic, Cooper sees everything as dog eat dog. Everyone is just looking out for themself and trusting people is more likely a way to end up with an explosive collar around your neck sold to slavers. Or dead. Dead is usually how it goes. Though he's definitely not one of the good guys anymore, he just tells it like it is.

Vessel Type & General ideas: Would be making him a Token as he's already technically a monster. Artificer could be interesting, as he's already used to tinkering and crafting his own shit so to speak. He's definitely modified his own guns and ammo, being able step that up with funky magic stuff would be extra fun. That and making other gadgets for mayhem and destruction. Also I'm not saying he'd build a mechanical dog familiar, but... yeah. Though making him a necromancer would just be funny, because. I mean look at him.

I'm honestly terrible at planning out and having solid plans of what I want to do with a character in a game, it really all depends on how the setting grows and changes and CR and stuff. I'm a grow with the flow sorta player, but I love both good and bad CR! Especially with a character like this. Cooper will be post Lucy saving his stupid ass after the whole selling her for drugs debacle. Though he'll still be before meeting back up with her at the Observatory and dealing with the whole Moldaver and her dad mess.

Kinda fell out of doing much RPing for a bit now, but the siren call of a game does like whispering in my ear and I'm definitely keeping my eye out for the TDM.

While he's perpetually a little grouchy and uninclined to share all that much, he will grudgingly help others who need it.

He comes from post-apocalyptic Finland, where a body horror pandemic that turns people and animals into horrible monsters has rendered humanity near-extinct. His immediate and extended family were all killed when he was 15, and he had to raise his little sister and cousin, the only other survivors of his village. In canon he is a mage who calls on the Finnish gods and goddesses to do elemental and other attacks, erect defenses, heal, and do other kinds of magic.

Vessel Type & General ideas: I'm interested in making him a Token, a Beastkin because it suits him really well! He's already really familiar and comfortable with nature and the deep forests, rivers, and lakes, and even occasionally takes the form of an owl in his canon dream realm!

As for plans, I'd just really love to see him grow and develop, form some bonds beyond his family, maybe some found family or something. I'd love to see him come out of his shell a little and form some community!

For Texas, I'm still a lot more on the fence when it comes to Vessel type. It's taking all my willpower not to default right away to Lycan Offering bc boy, I love werewolves and it would be very apt lmao. I do kind of lean toward Offering in general for her so far, because I think letting her slowly lose control in a monster-y kind of way would be a fun struggle for her as someone who is always seemingly calm and in control, even when at her most ruthless. Thoughts on Token aspects for her would have me leaning toward Shadowbinder or maaaaybe Illusionist.

Blaze is fiercely dedicated to the cause and spends a lot of time training and honing her skills when not deployed on missions.

This catgirl is extremely friendly and outgoing, touchy-feely, and brash and hot-headed when circumstances lend to it. She's great at trying to coax people out of their shells and loooves getting drinks with people to unwind. She also has a Complicated backstory that isn't out on EN servers for another month or two, so gently puts my hand over that...

Vessel Type & General ideas:
I'm leaning toward Token for her, playing around with the options that lend to different aspects of her canon powers: Pyromancer, Aeromancer, and Bloodwright. The first two are more straightforward, but the latter would be an interesting twist that I think could make a fun challenge for her with how it would work here in this game.

Ash comes with a fair bit of baggage, most of her choices have led to someone dying or some other form of tragedy. But she manages to balance the angst and anger with friendly dose of comedic cynicism and whimsy.

Vessel Type & General ideas: Generally thinking of going Token and Shadowbinder. Ash's normal powers are something similar to this and I'd like to play around with those themes.

playing with the idea of making her a token! canonically she is big on language and using it to manipulate others; even her ability, spirit whisper, seems to work as some sort of hypnosis as she has said she simply says what people wish to hear.

this + her notions of beauty and her interest in decisions vs fate make me consider lightweaver, illusionist, or bloodwright for her. all three draw on her canonical abilities BUT nerf her enough to force her to approach alliances from a new angle. (namely less "this is fated but if you can defy fate i will be impressed" and more "haha link up with me i'm not interested in DYING").

this will be doubly fun because in general her relationships seem to focus on transaction and shared goals (according to her). to be forced to make connections to survive, the exact opposite of what she had to do to survive on her home planet, will be super fun to explore for ME and probably make her as miserable as she will be morbidly intrigued by her ordeal.

alternatively, being a swarmling offering would be interesting because of her spider motifs. she would definitely hate it a lot more than being a token LMAO. i think it would make her more keen on forming bonds but i need to think about it more...

i'm also considering death note's misa amane as an offering! (she would hate it, poor girl.)

maybe seraph on account of all the weaknesses + "bound to 'missions' they no longer understand" with how much she's given up her memories and lifespan all while knowing she is simply allowing herself to be used because she wants to be loved... yeah...

i would love to explore her obsession and willingness to be used and maybe have her grapple with that self-assigned purpose being stripped from her on account of being... in a whole other realm LMAO.

Blurp: First of all: Warframe lore is absolutely buckwild and I apologize in advance. TL;DR, ageless eldritch child who already brought about one apocalypse and is somewhat ambivalent about bringing on the next one.

Long story short as I can make it: the Operator is a former human child who made a Faustian deal with an eldritch entity, known variously as "The Man in the Wall," "The Lidless Eye," and "The Indifference," in order to save themself and their classmates from their homicidal parents. The children were transformed into ageless, powerful psychic beings, who were then turned into amnesiac bioweapons by the ruling class of their day, the Orokin. The Orokin forced the children into a state of indefinite sleep and psychically connected them to tortured, heavily-mutated super-soldiers, or "Warframes," in their war against the Sentients, a machine race created by the Orokin that later rebelled. The Operator and the other children quickly lost hold of their memories and identities, becoming one with the Warframes, and known collectively as the Tenno.

The Tenno ended up being a little too effective at the whole "ultra-violent murder" thing and would eventually slaughter the Orokin and leave the solar system in a state of chaos, before being basically forced to take a collective, centuries-long nap, during which various factions and Orokin survivors vied for control in the power vacuum. Things got so out of hand that the Tenno were woken again, and immediately got busy culling the various warring factions at the behest of a mysterious, commanding figure known as the Lotus.

Basically, you know in cosmic horror when the ancient inscriptions tell of a terrible race of slumbering eldritch monstrosities who will one day wake up and bring ruin to the civilizations of mankind? That's the Operator! :) Except, recent events have caused them to regain their memories of their former humanity, as well as some specific memories about that shady deal they made with the Man in the Wall way back when. It scares the shit out of them, because while they can't remember what they promised the Lidless Eye, they know that whatever it was will make what they did to the Orokin look like a handshake in comparison.

Vessel Type & General ideas: I'm definitely leaning more towards Token for the Operator, as gently bonding with monstrous beings in the name of inflicting terrible vengeance upon their tormentors is kind of their M.O in canon. As for what kind of Token, I'm leaning towards either Artificer or Lightweaver.

The Operator has a canonical fondness for broken people and things. They want to take away their suffering, even taking it onto themself in many cases, and help them find peace. I'd love to explore this with Offering CR in the future, especially if it comes with an added exploration of the darker side of this dynamic—in which the object of the Operator's kindness often becomes subject to their overriding control. As the Operator themself says: "My Warframe is the hand—and I am the will."
