Welcome to Somnia's first EMP! This is the place to be if you're interested in the game's setting, if you're unsure about who you'd like to bring or if you just want to check out the vibes. Remember that the EMP is open to all, and you don't need an invite to participate in the slightest!

Dates to note are as follows:

- TDM: June 7th
- RESERVES: June 21st
- APPS: June 22nd - 26th
- GAME START: July 1st

An opportunity for players who do not have invites to post their interest in receiving one will be available on the TDM as a mod comment to reply to. Just like our EMP, you do not need an invite to participate in the TDM, either (only to reserve and app). Mod-run invites will also be available then, so I thank you kindly for your patience!

Criminally insane, Jinx has a love for wanton chaos, destruction, and anarchy, and gets easily bored if these reckless urges are left unsatisfied for too long. Jinx isn't shown to think much about the consequences of her behavior and generally acts before thinking, which can lead to people getting hurt easily when around Jinx. While she is clearly a gifted inventor, Jinx is also extremely scatterbrained, forgetting scientific terms and instead imitating gun noises while she constructs her weapons.

Jinx is often portrayed to be hyperactive and very childish, complaining when she doesn't get what she wants and calling others by immature names, giving Vi nicknames such as "Fat-Hands" and "Stupid". With her carefree, self-centered attitude, Jinx doesn't care about money, order, or what others think about her and just destroys what she wants when she wants. Despite this, she still likes to get recognition for her many crimes and is capable of showing off to the Piltover police, knowing that no matter what goes down, she will always get away.

Despite her immature and silly demeanor, Jinx is still a significant force of evil and malice, even if in her crazed mind she sees it as a game. She would put on a veneer of a bubbly and energetic person, only to hide the hurt and trauma of past events. She's also very sarcastic, extroverted with a twisted sense of humor.

Vessel Type & General ideas:

If I pull through, I'm choosing Token as her vessel, and I'm deciding between Aquamancer, Aeromancer, or Pyromancer.

And as for her canon point, I'm thinking pulling her in the beginning of E9 from S2 while she is in the middle of [REDACTED]. I... don't have any general ideas but beyond that, haha?? I'm about, I don't know, maybe 90% sure I want to give this game a try, but there's still that 10% I won't. Just depends on how TDM will go!

now onto the actual serious game matters, does jinx know it was viktor who dolled her dad up at this point

that is a very good question! i want to say, i guess it depends on how the viktor player (i should ask) feels about it. because i'm taking her where everything sadly, fade to black and off-screen land. meaning i have to fill in the blank a lot on what jinx knows and doesn't know.

but if the viktor player is okay with it, then i'll have her know. if they don't want her to know, then i'll have her not know. it's the same thing with her knowing about the other dimension; i have to decide if ekko told her about it or not.

Hi there! Super excited to see other Arcanes interested in this game!

I love the idea of Jinx as an aquamancer because of the water motif re: Silco, but pyromancer also suits her so well since she loves to blow things up, but then ALSO aeromancer fits her so well, I think because it reminds me of her cloud tattoos!

I'd definitely love to have Viktor and Jinx hang out, I feel like they would be such a sassy duo

Right?! All three of them fit her so perfectly, and I keep going back and forth between them. Especially with Aquamancer because the MME lyrical music video with Coldplay mentioning Scylla as a reference to Jinx.

But also, I have this stupid theory that Jinx is pretty much the new Janna with her being the symbol of Zaun and all. And Janna is/was the Wind Goddess. So Aeromancer is good too! So it's just aaaaa, hard to choose, but hey! That's why the mod will do it for me.

They are a sassy duo and it sucks they didn't get to interact more in s2. WASTED!!!

It would be so interesting to see her react to wind powers and the parallels to Janna! She may not be as jazzed about it but you know what, that's part of the fun of playing online barbies LOL

COMPLETELY! Hopefully they can get along enough to forge a weird friendship dynamic and build some cool stuff together

She will be highly annoyed cause janna is fake news. But then again, jinx decides she likes being a hero at... random times. She's weird like that.

As long as he doesn't go around touching foreheads. Keep those hands, feet, and objects to yourself. It was rule #5 (I think) in my elementary school.

Oh he is going to be So Scared to touch anyone! He'll be dealing with the fallout of the finale, having to live with the consequences of his actions after making peace with his ending, being nervous about relapsing, and all that good trauma stuff.

omg i would love to see how jinx fares in Sleep's realm, and from that canon point... OOF. super interested to see what you settle on for her Token as well, all seem so interesting for her!

haha yeah, same because let's face it, no matter what canon point i take her from S2, it's going to be kinda OOF. so might as well go big or go home, and i'm already sitting at home rn, so that leaves me with the choice of going big.

but yeah, it's going to be interesting since she's going to assume that she, uh, ahem succeeded, so she'll probably think whatever is going on is the... BEYOND, and what happens after you do the thing. so that's going to be fun to play around with, lmao!

and yeah, we'll see what happens! i feel a littlee silly because everyone else on here so far has talked about plans/general ideas for their character, and i'm over here just free-balling, lmao! but then again, jinx is an unpredictable mess, so i suppose it's appropriate for me to just come in this game like ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

Ugh I LOVE Jinx so so so much. The canon point you're pulling her is chefskissemoji and just. I'm love her so much ok. She did nothing wrong.

I really like the token ideas you have for her and feel they fit in so well for her and I think that they'd be a lot of fun for her to explore :D Aeromancer is definitely an awesome third option that didn't immediately come to mind, but it's so fitting for her.

whaaaat? she is a trash bag; she's done a lot of things wrong, and i hate her. my goal in this game is to have her get hit by a bus.

yeah!! aeromancer will have her link to janna which i have a stupid theory about jinx is practically the new janna of zaun. since they replaced janna's mural with Jinx's, the people pray to and worship jinx now.

and it would also be funny for her to be aeromancer because jinx learned that janna was fake (or is she???????) and having wind goddess powers would just make her annoyed. lmao.

I have no idea what kind of relationship they could have but it'd probably be an interesting one because Crichton is mostly moral but also kind of nuts and I think he'd recognize there's capital D damage here and hate to see it in someone so young.

Jinx is kind of like what his castmate Chiana would be like if something just utterly broke inside her.

I can see him trying offset any chaos while also trying to convince her to simmer the fuck down.
