Welcome to Somnia's first EMP! This is the place to be if you're interested in the game's setting, if you're unsure about who you'd like to bring or if you just want to check out the vibes. Remember that the EMP is open to all, and you don't need an invite to participate in the slightest!

Dates to note are as follows:

Appropriately short rundown: Levi is a grouchy but well-meaning (usually) hardass clean freak weirdo who despite standing a towering 5'3" and sleeping two hours a night in a chair is allegedly humanity's strongest soldier, though he doesn't really care about this and wishes people would just shut up and leave him alone. He likes tea and very little else. He cracks a smile about once every eight months. Sorry in advance. 😔

He would definitely be a token, at the moment my brilliant idea is Bloodwright because he hates blood and I've never turned down an opportunity to make his life fucking suck even more than it already does (which is A Lot). Beyond dealing with that I don't really have any concrete plans, I do have another character I'm considering that I may put on here later but most likely it'll just be this asshole again. Looking forward to the TDM either way!

Name: Yuzuru Atsuta
Canon: Shin Megami Tensei V, specifically from the Vengeance storyline
Blurp: A student in his last year of high school who moonlights as a devil summoner, who uses demons to fight wild, malicious demons, and makes sure that they don't affect humans. He's an orphan and has a younger sister who's terminally ill with something unknown, so he doesn't have a lot of friends because he just didn't bother developing himself as a person because his personality is centered around his sister. In fact, when the demons start invading the human world and different groups start fighting for how to rebuild the world, Yuzuru sides with the faction that gives him the most power because he wants to protect his sister. ... And then he finds out about his true identity.

Spoilers!

He's actually one half of the Shinto god Tsukuyomi who has been living and reincarnating endlessly as a human. The other half is his boss, who has been around for a while and vaguely remembers a time before gods split into two. They do the fusion dance a few times, and Yuzuru gets killed for it. Poor kid, he died earlier than he did in the Creation storyline, but at least he had far more screentime and personality.

Canon: Pokemon Sword/Shield
Blurp: A rock musician who commands a bunch of cute monsters as part of an international sport of battling them against other trainers, and Piers has garnered some prestige as one of the best in his country, enough that he's a government-assigned roadblock for any newbie trainer. If they want to be the very best, Piers is one of the elites they have to beat first, and this position makes him the de facto (or de jure? looks more de jure the more games we get in the franchise) head of his town. However, he doesn't actually want to do this! He wants to concentrate on music! Plus he sucks at being a leader, the town is languishing! So a good deal of his arc in the game is hoping his younger sister comes home from her trainer journey to take over his job. And in the meantime he's going to be a giant drama llama about it and life in general.

Vessel Type & General ideas: Offering, probably Lycan, Kimera or Trickster. I'm never not going to monster-fy any of my characters. Sorry, I'm a monster and kemonomimi fan, it's why I play stuff like SMT, Pokemon, and Arknights.

The aloof administrator of the Fortress of Meropide. Wriothesley is a man who had went to prison and eventually became the warden of said prison located in Fontaine's waters. He has an easygoing personality but is a man who is willing to dirty his hands to get what he thinks needs to be done.

Vessel Type & General ideas:

I'm either thinking of going Offering: Lycan or Vessel: Artificer.

I think both of these would work for him. Wriothesley is entrenched in dog imagery after all. His constellation is Cerberus and Meropide's symbol is a three-headed dog. Not only that, but his hair just resembles dog ears. Perfect dog man perfect to make a big pupper.

On the flip side, I like the idea of Artificer because of Wriothesley's tinkering with meka and I think it would be interesting for him to kind of lean into that, I think it would also be interesting for him to touch more into that. It's likely I'll go Lycan though.

Canon: Final Fantasy XV -A Fandom I'm 10 years too late to, but has given me the brainrot anyway!

Crown Prince and 114th heir to the throne of Lucis, the kingdom with control over the Crystal. He weirds the Power of the Lucian Kings, which allows him to summon multiple spectral weapons, throw his weapon and warp to it, use magic, among among other things. He comes across as a snarky, stubborn child; the typical teenager (even though he's 20), not caring for much and wanting to be alone. Beneath all of that is an intelligent but troubled young man who fears the day he has to take the throne.

Vessel Type & General ideas: I am just so excited to have a game based on Sleep Token lore ahhh! Too many ideas. I kinda want to make him an Offering of a Daemon, just because it would be terrible. But he would obviously fit as a Token Lightweaver. Some of the others just look fun. It's so hard to choose! I look forward to forming Tethers etc. and want to mess with the Murmur a bit too, especially in regards to his love of fishing.

Welcome to the book series nobody knows. I have desperately been trying to find a game that would work for her.

Nadya grew up as a Cleric in a monastery where she was kept as a treasure due to her ability to talk to the pantheon and great magic. From a young age she was taught she would be the one to stop the war that's been raging for years and years between her country and the heretical Tranavia.

Turns out the monastery, and the church in general, was a lot more like a cult than anything and her pantheon had been using and lying to her for her entire mistake. Alas she realizes this far too late and ends up making some Pretty Big Mistakes. Like being gaslight by her main goddess into assisting in wiping out all of Tranavia's magic.

Then accidentally releasing the fallen eldritch gods.

Also dying and being resurrected only to find out the real reason she can preform magic isn't because the gods bless her when she prays to them it's....

because she's an eldritch god and has more power than they do. So logically they've just been lying to her all her life to make sure she doesn't realize she's as powerful as she is and maybe rebel.

Or accidentally unleash her power and start the path to the end of the world. That'd sure suck if that happened (spoiler: it happened).

Really, at the end of the day she's just a kid that had her childhood stolen from her. Lost everyone, found out her life was a lie, and has way more responsibility and creepy monstrous power put on her than anyone ever should. She gives people WAY more chances than they should, is stubborn as hell, and somehow despite constantly being betrayed and lied to she still manages to be hopeful.

Vessel Type & General ideas:

Going with Token for now and would absolutely love Bloodwright because that's the magic she accidentally got rid of that Tranavia had and she would just have SO much conflict with that. All her life her gods told her that kind of magic was wrong. It'd be a struggle. Necromancer or Aquamancer would be fantastic too!

What I really want to do is give her more of a chance and breathing room to think about the massive mistakes she's made, the things she's done for revenge and love, what it means that she's died twice and come back as this eldritch...thing. Then struggling with what exactly she does not to fix all the shit she fucked up in the world.

If she even can. idk there's a lot to dig into and the setting seems great for her/it

Anyway, lying Churches? Too much responsibility? Linhardt's position is much, much less serious and traumatizing than it sounds like Nadya's is, but he still might be interesting to talk to. He's involved in an uprising against his world's Church and has, uh, ambivalent feelings about it as their main divine/faith caster. He also has a fatal allergy to responsibility despite having some (again, much less than she does). So some sympathy? Somebody willing to say 'doing nothing and thinking is fine, actually?' idk.

Linhardt is a huge magic, science and history nerd from psuedo-medieval times who's drawn to esoteric mysteries and weird creatures and objects like a moth to flame. (I'm sure there's no way this could go wrong.) He strongly values his freedom and resents people trying to get him to do things for them and is pretty introverted as a result (because he thinks people are only interested in what he can do for them), but can warm up to people and once he does, he will go out of his way to make life easier for them.

As a healer and a pacifist from a war torn canon, he also has strong feelings about people suffering and, despite his disdain for responsibility, he'll intervene to keep someone from being hurt/injured. He just gets grumpy about being expected to do so and about people constantly running head first in to dangerous situations under the assumption he can fix it. (He's also a giant hypocrite given how he'll run head first into dangerous situations if he can learn something.)

Positives: He's empathetic to people's suffering, has a lot of moral integrity, and is intelligent with a lot of open and honest curiosity about the world.

On the negative side, he's selfish, inconsiderate, and a hypocrite.

At home, he also has something between chronic fatigue and narcolepsy. However, since canon powers are being nerfed and his sleepiness is caused by his innate magic, it means he's going to be awake and fully rested for the first time in his life. Very big 'person who just discovered coffee or energy drinks' vibes.

Vessel Type & General ideas:

Definitely going for token. Most likely a Runecaster (he'd love figuring out the complicated rules and compiling a runic dictionary etc nerd) or a Chronomancer (he knows teleportation magic so let's get weird with spacetime). Still not sure about the third option.

For ideas, I would like to explore:

• Working together in the name of knowledge: Let's figure out what's going on and how this place and its weird magic works! And bond and potentially make poor decisions.
• The tension between freedom and empathy/connections to others: Linhardt's reluctance to get involved with other people stems from him being used to them trying to restrict him, but he does care a lot deep inside. I want to explore this fundamental contradiction pulling him in different directions.

And any other random shenanigans and CR that comes up! Always here for some shenanigans.

Ivan | Alien Stage

Ivan is from a future where humanity has been conquered and only continues to exist as designer pets kept by aliens, who enjoy the sound of their "beautiful cries" AKA singing. The main characters of Alien Stage, Ivan included, grew up together in an artificial environment where they were vocally trained, taught lyricality, etc. with the expectation that they would all later become contestants on an alien entertainment program known as Alien Stage. The premise of the show is your average singing competition, except the loser of each round is executed live on stage.

Everything about Ivan himself is a little bit of a spoiler for a very short series, but I'll leave you with:

His public-facing personality is a charismatic cool cat.

The latter is masking, by Word of Creator.

He has deep, one-sided affection for another contestant that he self-describes as parasitic.

Vessel Type & General ideas:

Ivan is a character who would be greatly at risk of Succumbance, which would be fascinating to play out the progression of whether or not I'm able to find a catalyst for actually stopping it.

He would be an Offering. For Swarmling or Leshy I could draw upon parasitic insects or plants for inspiration, while Wraith has some in-built parasitic options for feeding. Alternatively, if I went Trickster I'd love to do something indulgently aesthetic with the shapeshifting element, like having Ivan flicker between his canon child, adolescent, and adult incarnations.

To summarize Maelle, spoiler-free edition: She's a reckless teenager with a fighting spirit who gets babysat for the duration of the game while the situation goes from bad to worse. But don't worry, she can fix it!

Consistently convinced the consequences won't come for her, she can be arrogant but it's theoretically all for a good cause. Not at all for selfish reasons. Never. Perish the thought.

We're all running from something and this girl is ready to sprint off a cliff if it meant she could keep running.

I want to be taking her from a later canonpoint, likely bad ending post game. Since the game starts at the beginning of July it may be enough time for those chugging through playthroughs that it would be okay? But if any aren't, let me know?

Using canon language: Petra is the Queen's Wrath, the chief enforcer and right hand of Queen Mara Sov of the Reef, Queen of the Awoken.

The fast and dirty synopsis: The Awoken are blue-skinned near-humans, descended from the crew of an ill-fated ship that was leaving Earth. Shortening the story A LOT, the Awoken returned to the Sol system to help humanity on Earth fight against extinction by alien invaders.

Growing up in the Reef (basically the Asteroid Belt), Petra originally trained to become a Techeun (Tech Witch) but quickly discovered that her talent was in physical combat instead of more mystical pursuits. When the station she grew up on was destroyed, Petra essentially joined the military to get revenge on the ones who had done it. She became skilled in using knives, firearms, and in hand-to-hand fighting. She rose to a command rank, got exiled for a number of years for losing three fireteams in a mission gone badly, was eventually reinstated and returned to find herself promoted to be the Queen's Wrath and head of her special forces.

Petra likes getting her hands dirty, and serving as the Queen's Wrath gives her a purpose, something to focus her anger and pain into for the greater good. She's extremely competent and capable of command posts but greatly prefers fieldwork. She's tenacious, quick-witted, and quick to draw her blade when necessary.

Vessel Type & General ideas: Thinking Token and leaning toward Lightweaver for canon-related irony. (The "space magic" in Destiny is the manipulation of the paracausal forces Light and Darkness. Something that Petra has very little natural skill in, although she does know a few tricks.) But still looking around at the possibilities.

For general ideas, I don't have anything specific. Just happy to see this game and that there's so much interest!

Local investigative journalist who travels to an insane asylum and is shocked to find insane people there.

Miles gets a tip that human experimentation and other messed up stuff is happening at an asylum, so he breaks in an attempt to investigate. However when he gets there, it's all gone to hell in a handbasket with even government military being killed in the process of trying to help. The people inside the asylum are either passive in their madness, or so violent and strong thanks to the experiments done on them that running is his only choice.

A priest refuses to let him leave as he wants Miles to be an apostle to spread the message of his god, the Walrider, and forces him to travel through the asylum recording everything as evidence of what is happening. Eventually the priest sets himself on fire in dedication to his god.

Miles travels underground and finds a laboratory, where they've been experimenting with driving people insane / into states of lucid dreaming so that they can control the Walrider, a bunch of nanites made into one being that can only be controlled by the insane. Miles kills the host of the Walrider, the Walrider forces Miles to become its new host, Miles gets shot a lot but the Walrider saves him, and he leaves and is on the run from the company who was at the helm of the experiment (Murkoff).

I LOVE the idea of him being an Offering - seraph for the whole "god Walrider" idea, daemon for similar, or a metal golem for being an unwilling host to the Walrider, the technology based "god".

sam porter bridges is a loner with a lot of baggage - literal and emotional. burdened by his DOOMS, a condition that gives him an ability to sense the dead, sam's life revolves around delivering packages to a fractured world while battling ghostly entities and constant rain that ages and decays everything it touches. he's got all the charm of a wet cardboard box, but underneath that gruff exterior, there's a man who'd rather carry the weight of the world on his shoulders than face his own trauma. his phobia of being touched causes rashes to break out on his skin, making the simple act of human contact feel like an overwhelming nightmare. with his trusty bridge baby (BB or 'lou') and an outfit that says "sponsored by heavy boots and the apocalypse," sam is the reluctant hero who keeps trudging forward, even if it's just to prove he can. he may act like he doesn't care, but deep down, there's a heart in there somewhere - buried under a few layers of regret, isolation, and damp hiking boots.

sam would make a great necromancer token, especially with his DOOMS and repatriate status - he's already (metaphorically) half-dead, so why not embrace it? his constant trauma and fractured memories are basically a necromancer's resume. plus, he's been with bb and dealing with tar ghosts for so long, might as well raise some corpses too. his emotional baggage is practically a necrotic aura at this point, anyway.

Hey look, another character from a series no one's heard of! This is Malachiasz Czechwicz from the Something Dark and Holy trilogy by Emily A. Duncan. The chia-pet here is a gifted blood mage or he was until Nadya accidentally had her goddess remove it from the world and the king of an elite order of magically augmented assassins who also SPOILERED himself into becoming a god covered in a lot of eyes that moved around a lot, grew giant wings, and essentially just became a god of chaos in an effort to kill the other gods to finally end the war against the church cult for Tranavia. It didn't go well for him and it all started with Nadya, who he wasn't supposed to care about, but being a YA love interest, he just couldn't avoid it.

He's also an artist, a nerd, and will not hesitate to make sure everyone knows he's smarter than them. Nadya apologizes for him a lot. And then also hates him a lot. It's complicated.

Vessel Type & General ideas: Definitely an offering (it's not the first time he's turned into a monster), and I'm leaning toward Valkyrie first for #canonreasons, but the Seraph or Daemon would also be good!

Big "stray dog with a lot of love to give needs forever home" vibes.

Blurp: imagine if homura akemi was in the mafia rather than a magical girl

In the mainline canon of Bungo Stray Dogs, Dazai is a former mafia executive turned quirky detective who's changed his way of life to honor the dying wishes of his closest friend. He's got a truckload of baggage and mental health issues up the wazoo including being a walking suicide CW, but he's settled himself into his Wacky Eccentric Mentor role with a certain degree of stability and contentment.

......now throw all that out the window. due to Circumstances, THIS Dazai gained foreknowledge of the future in the form of the memories of every single Dazai in every possible universe including the Real(TM) timeline, and immediately resolved to avert that future so that his friend never dies, even if it means their friendship is not able to exist in the first place. And if he has to ruin the lives of everyone else around him including himself to do it? Well. Can't make an omelette without breaking some eggs, amirite. it's fine, he's fine. As long as his friend gets to live literally nothing else matters!



Vessel Type & General ideas: Was leaning toward token! Specifically illusionist, because everything about that particular type is suited to Dazai's personality and methods as a "ends justify the means" type liar and manipulator, but chronomancer and shadowbinder are also potentially appropriate choices!

Blurp: A dedicated fascist and one of the most ambitious members of the Imperial Security Bureau, Dedra grew up in the Imperial system, and doesn't really know anything outside of it. Despite not wanting the mission, she became the lead architect of the Ghorman Massacre, a horrific event that lead to the Rebellion steadily becoming more of an Alliance than it was. It also lead to the death of the only person she cared about, nearly breaking her as a result. However, when you join the "Leopards Eating Faces" party, your face is eventually going to be eaten, as what happened to her when she accidentally found out about the Death Star, inevitably becoming the first link in the chain that lead to the battle station's destruction.
Vessel Type & General ideas: I'm thinking of Token as a Bloodwright; the steady, commanding voice is basically how she talks, and plus... well, she has a lot of blood on her hands, what's a little more? She is a very new character for me (as evidenced by the lack of icons as of posting), but I want to explore what kind of character she develops into after being betrayed by the system that shaped her.

Advisor/butler/assassin/group mom? Ignis was appointed the advisor to crown prince Noctis at age six and spent his childhood being the lonely prince's friend, brother, partner-in-crime, and supervisor. Never willing to do things part way, Ignis willingly threw himself into his studies and learning how to fight and protect once he was old enough. Absolute clarity is important to him so that plans and back up plans can be made correctly. If it's not obvious, he takes his duties very seriously, perhaps too much so as it leads to him being willing to trade a great deal of himself to protect those he cares about.

Ignis is one of those people that others sometimes hate on sight because he is so well put together, seemingly good at everything, and in a word, flawless, but that exterior is something he's spent many a year crafting, and it hides the young man who has not really been tested and whose need for clarity is a crutch that will leave him flailing once it is gone.

Vessel Type & General ideas (Spoiler Warning for FFXV and Episode Ignis):

I'm new to Sleep Token, so I am currently working through what I can to get a feel for things, but at the moment, I'm looking at Token for Ignis and Chronomancer, specifically. In Episode Ignis, there is actually an alternate ending where Ignis' actions allow him to change Noctis' fate, so in a way, you could say he's already touched alternate timelines. The really cruel thing is that in game Chronomancers can't change a fated destiny, so he wouldn't be able to use those powers to change Noctis' fate. Plus, I tend to play him from right after he loses his vision in Altissia, so playing with the broken glass effect in his eyes would just be a horrible thing. Glances at her journal title.

Most importantly, Ignis is a man who thrives on clarity. He loses this in Altissia and catching glimpses of alternate times and such would just further cloud his already unsettled mind. Seeing what Pryna showed him was bad enough, but now there is more? Just how is he suppose to process that and how can it be used to help Noctis?

Vessel Type & General ideas: Not sure on vessel type yet. The two most suited to her seem to be Leshy or Bloodwright, which both offer some fun ideas. Generally I want to throw her into a situation where she has to rely more on that brain of hers to learn and adapt more than just pull from her medical knowledge.

Mildly spoilery: Mysterious broody sword-man from Fantasy-France who lives in a world shadowed by a massive Eldritch entity that culls part of the entire population year after year. While everyone else in the world deals with the ramifications of a literal countdown timer on their limited lives, Verso is instead, somehow immortal. He comes with a good helping of Immortal Angst and a big brother complex the size of Mars. He can be gruff but is generally friendly, though he's clearly working towards his own goals at all times. Good luck trying to get him to answer any questions about it, though, he'll evade and dodge and lie without any real hesitation. Mostly a guy trying to do the right thing though. Mostly.

Major Spoilers Under Cut No Really Pls

In reality Verso is only the painted shadow of a man who died in a tragic house fire, his entire world a tragic creation in the grief surrounding it. As one of the few people aware of this reality Verso gets to struggle with the ramifications of what this means for Literally Everything For Everyone but also what it means for him and his family to just be be miserble empty shadows of reality, etc. He wants what's best for his family, but that may come at a terrible cost for his entire world: a cost that he's so far decided that he's willing to pay, no matter how terrible of a person it makes him.

I will also note that I've seen most players from CO take characters from Act 2 ish canonpoints, but I'm immensely tempted to take Verso from post endgame because I love pain.

I'm most looking to explore Verso's Immense Internal Struggle (TM), so I think I'm leaning Offering with Lycan archetype or Token with the Illusionist archetype, there's interesting options in either direction. I'm still feeling out whether I'd be a good fit here (me or my boy specifically), so I'm happy to hear suggestions and things!!

Blurp: Not the nicest wisp fetchling spirit monger necromancer (playtesting wooo) that has been in prison for the past 19 years after raiding the Universe (material plane) with a group that had the intention of creating anchors for certain actors of the Netherworld (shadowfell) to be able to work on taking over the Universe. He was treated really well in prison, essentially just being stuck in a luxury hotel room for the past 19 years. He recognizes that his jailer has given him a clemency he doesn't deserve, and he often expresses that sometimes death is a better mercy. He has grown comfortable here, and resigned to the fact he will not be able to go home to the Netherworld.

He has an unhealthy scholarly interest in reincarnators, undeath, and immortality. No, he has no interest in becoming a lich, but he'd rather become a reincarnator or learn how to become immortal without becoming something like a vampire. He also is just a big magic nerd, especially of occult magic (though he is rather knowledgeable of arcane as well). I joked that he's just a college professor turned war criminal at one point.

He's incredibly repressed in a lot of ways - his sexuality, feeling anything other than resigned despair, trusting anyone. The goal of the other players is to figure out how to redeem him!!! I just wanna explore him when he's pulled out of context of the campaign and figure out more of how he ticks. :>
Vessel Type & General ideas: Normally I go hard into monsters, but for him I'm thinking tokens: necromancer (obviously), shadowbinder, illusionist. Necromancer is literally what he is, shadowbinder fits in with the fact he's from the Netherworld and he's basically half ghost, and illusionist is just fun. There's some ancestry feats that lean into illusions and the like.

Blurp: Malenia is the difficult dex diva of Elden Ring that made a lot of people yell into the void because they couldn’t stop dying to waterfowl and Flower™. She and her twin brother Miquella are the empyrean children of Queen Marika and Lord Radagon. Because their parents are literally the same person, both of them were born afflicted, Miquella with eternal nascence, while Malenia suffers from super space syphilis scarlet rot. Malenia’s affliction is highly infectious, eating away at her body from the inside out. It left her blind and without all but one of her limbs.

But, yanno… She can still beat you up.

Towering at around 8 feet and sporting three unalloyed gold prosthetics and a long katana created by her twin brother Miquella, Malenia is a skilled swordsman and undefeated in the Lands Between. However, she very much does not wish to ascend to full godhood and is constantly fighting the god of rot that would use her as a vessel.

I am planning on pulling her right before she drops her first Flower™ on General Radahn during their battling after The Shattering, in which the demigods received their Great Runes and started fighting each other to ascend to godhood.

Vessel Type & General ideas: While making Malenia a monster (valkyrie or swarmling) would probably be a lot of fun, it doesn’t really align with my plans. Plus, the poor thing is blind and requires prosthetics to get around, so I would probably go with an aquamancer token for her.

A part of her will always feel like she’s still rotting from the inside even though the god of rot can’t reach her here. With water being the antithesis of stagnation, being able to wield it with magic would be a great comfort to her.

My main want from this game is to have Malenia become her own person and find out who she actually is aside from her brother’s sworn protector. As she won’t be rotting to death she’ll be able to make friends and form bonds with people without the fear of afflicting them.

She will absolutely be down for some sparring and drinking buddies, and will need some help maintaining her prosthetics.

Keeping her head against the murmur is going to be a challenge, but she’ll probably think very little of it at first. She fought the god of rot constantly whispering in the back of her head for so long, that anything else will seem pretty trivial in comparison.

Until it isn’t.

Hooked up with a bunch of escaped alien prisoners who are now his buds and found family. He's held onto his sanity by a thread spun almost entirely from pop culture references. Empathetic when circumstance allows, willing to do some murder when it doesn't, smart without having all the answers, pragmatic without being ruthless. Can be extremely cagey and distrusting because his trauma has trauma. Will come off totally insane at times in a Bugs Bunny, Riggs from Lethal Weapon kind of way.

Will probably think the panfandom is a simulation meant to break his mind and will at first before realizing it's not because that's just a thing that happens to him sometimes.

Depending on what the mods say, may have a copy of a villain with a leather fetish in his head as the Venom to his Eddie Brock. This pretty much won't effect anything other than making it clear he's talking to someone that's not there, which will surely make it easier to attract friends.

Vessel Type & General ideas:

Vessel Type: Leaning towards Chronomancer or Bloodwright. The former because it allows for manipulating a bit of foundational reality and the ability to do that in another way besides wormholes would be terrifying, given his enemies would love to use him for that if he gets home.

The latter because bleeding out while trying to help people fits his vibe and he's an astrophysicist: he never expected to have blood on his hands.

General Ideas: The man's going to go through so many stages of grief over being lost in dimensions now after being lost in space, starting with him being in denial and probably treating the whole situation like he thinks he's in the Matrix at first. He's had two other instances of being stuck in simulatious meant to gather info or break him. Then when he realizes he's really lost in another dimension he's going to be hysterically devastated.

After that, he'll need to make some friends fast before he winds up writing wormhole equations on the walls. Fortunately, he's good at making friends and is a good emotional support human. John is a very social animal, generally empathetic to others, forgiving (to a point), and extremely good at accepting alien and weird. Somehow manages to be a good moral compass to others even when he wants to shove a enemy's face in acid. While he might be cagey at first, if someone earns his trust, he's incredibly ride or die.

Looking to have him make friends and found family, enemies (he's good at making those), and frenemies (also good at those too). Would love for him to have to deal with more people willing to mess with his brain. Probably no shipping beyond anything casual, though, as he's down bad for a castmate.
