  Behold, an opportunity to gather.

Welcome to Somnia's first EMP! This is the place to be if you're interested in the game's setting, if you're unsure about who you'd like to bring or if you just want to check out the vibes. Remember that the EMP is open to all, and you don't need an invite to participate in the slightest!

Dates to note are as follows:

- TDM: June 7th
- RESERVES: June 21st
- APPS: June 22nd - 26th
- GAME START: July 1st

An opportunity for players who do not have invites to post their interest in receiving one will be available on the TDM as a mod comment to reply to. Just like our EMP, you do not need an invite to participate in the TDM, either (only to reserve and app). Mod-run invites will also be available then, so I thank you kindly for your patience!

I am canonblind, I must admit. HOWEVER! Between Gustave being a nerd and Lune being a nerd, without knowing anything of your nerd, they might get along just fine! Maelle is accustomed to nerds. But being an annoyance can also be fun c:

I'mma be real with you: E33 is the only canon on here I'm not canonblind to thus far! I get into a big canon about once every 5 years. But the basic pitch is psuedo-1400s fantasy and he's the token nerd/sciencey magic guy.

It COULD be fun! I doubt he'd honestly dislike her, it would be very much a case of 'hey, she's making me feel things and think about the uncomfy feelings and I don't like that'. He prefers to stuff his uncomfortable things in a box and never let them out/smother them with nerdery, thanks! And he's less mature than Gustave or Lune so he just feels things badly and they bleed out of the box. Stop making him introspect! It feels bad!

He does share her fondness for 'teasing as bonding' though. She should 100% annoy him on purpose - I support this.

I really wanna say throw the nerd her way for the tdm but for app reasons I was going to use a journal meant for the app which means spoilers :c BUT I think if you wiggled into act 3 you might be safe from the bigger spoilers. And I can avoid the story spoiler bits to keep it cozy for you. But just let me know where you're at in the game when the time comes so I can work around that better.

I like this potential dynamic they could have. She needs all the people to sass that she can get.

Sure, Maelle! It's called disassociation and it's a great way to deal with powerlessness. (Until it isn't, but Linhardt hasn't reached that point.) Seriously, do not take emotional advice from Linhardt.

Understood! I'll hit her up when I finish/get close to the end of the game so I avoid spoilers. Just might take a few weeks.

ABSOLUTELY: LET MAELLE SASS. I just feel like she's going to bring out that smoldering spark of adolescence Linhardt has managed to keep alive deep in his (actually too feeling) heart. He's in his early 20s so he feels so much more mature but lbr, he's closer to Maelle than Lune and co.

I should be able to finish quickly depending on how much time I sink into side quests... I'm already horrendously overleveled and have to play on story mode (visual impairment + hand twitches mean story mode is still hard :c ) but also beaches. so. you get it.

I hope so too! I love the idea of them being a little ridiculous in the midst of all the madness.

You probably already know this but just in case? If the screen swings in combat are troublesome there's a setting in the menu to keep the camera in place. It causes some attacks to fly off screen (Stalacts...) but it can help visual troubles. And I can absolutely relate to the volleyball being Ridiculous. I honestly just finished level 2 of the volleyball and ditched. That nonsense is harder than the hardest boss in the game lmao.

Oh yeah, I'm really glad the game has accessibility options and I always start a game by digging into all the setting options, but I appreciate the tip! <3 It's usually okay, although I ran into spoilers hover.

Ahh, so I'm on a phone until tomorrowish so I can't see hover things... Lol or I just don't know how. But yes! The options are very helpful.

The Gestrals had it all wrong, the real Ultimate Sakapatate is level 3 volleyball guy. Actually invincible.

New fangled mobile friendly collapsing spoilers bc I need to remember it's not 1999

Chromatic Ramasseur almost wrecked my shit last night since once he's down to a certain health percentage you have to parry/counter since it stops giving you turns. Luckily Maelle was stuck in virtuouse stance so the like...one time I managed to hit the parry it wrecked. Still ended with the other 2 dead and her on like 100 hp though. I'm a dodger, I don't counter!

If Expedition Zero had taken level 3 volleyball guy, they'd be the first and last Expedition. The Paintress would run in terror.
