  Behold, an opportunity to gather.

Welcome to Somnia's first EMP! This is the place to be if you're interested in the game's setting, if you're unsure about who you'd like to bring or if you just want to check out the vibes. Remember that the EMP is open to all, and you don't need an invite to participate in the slightest!

Dates to note are as follows:

- TDM: June 7th
- RESERVES: June 21st
- APPS: June 22nd - 26th
- GAME START: July 1st

An opportunity for players who do not have invites to post their interest in receiving one will be available on the TDM as a mod comment to reply to. Just like our EMP, you do not need an invite to participate in the TDM, either (only to reserve and app). Mod-run invites will also be available then, so I thank you kindly for your patience!

An over six foot tall, living marionette. Created by and for the Hunters, to comfort and shepherd them as they pass through the Hunter's Dream. She loves all humans with unfaltering, nurturing dedication.

Vessel Type & General ideas:
Dreams? Unknowable entities beyond comprehension? Helping along lost souls, potentially suffering monstrous changes? Seems like the perfect game for her to me.

I'll definitely be bringing the Doll to the TDM as a Token with an Artificer specialty. Upgrading weapons and playing a support role suits her just perfect. Bonus that she could potentially begin making more dolls and the quandary that could cause. I've really been looking out for a game where I could dig into the Doll potentially discovering her own sense of personhood due to displacement from the Hunter's Dream and her purpose there. A very slow journey, but ideal for a game that plans to go on a while!

She is SO tall, as tall as Maria who like... towers over the player character. The most gentle giant.

Anyway I am enchanted with the idea of the Plain Doll as an Artificer, that would be super fun. Ranni is a big fan of meaningful swords, and would no doubt commission the Doll eventually lmao

The Doll really will just do anything that is asked of her, so trust her to have enchanted swords galore if people instruct as much from her!

HAHA, yes, I've been on a canon character kick for the last year or so!! The Doll was someone I wanted to try out last summer, but didn't really work out. Forever back, I used to play Maria, so when I got the nostalgia pangs I figured the Doll would be a fun new voice to give a whirl. Especially in a game like this which is SO spot on for her vibe.

Two characters in a game for me, with my tag drive, would be one of those pride before the fall stories, and yet... reaches for Maria.

On the other hand, Trina could be friends with another dream-bound entity just trying to help in an apocalyptic setting where everything is going wrong and the only path available probably isn't even the right path. She might even volunteer to throw hands with Flora once this Sleep god is taken care of.

REACHES for Maria.... but yes, I totally understand the struggle of the multi-character juggle. Do what you can handle and is most fun! Maria would be a delight to have around, freaking everybody with mutual CR out by sharing the same build, face, and voice, but basically none-personality.

the one reprieve from all the horrors in bloodborne coming to Sleep's realm, her work is never done! the Doll slowly discovering her personhood sounds like such a wonderful arc if you choose to pursue it. i would love to see how she manages!

Thank you!! I'm excited to give her a swing on the TDM and see if she jives with the setting. CR dependent arcs are my favorite, I think she could really end up having an interesting time of that journey no matter who is around her.

Love that the Soulsbornes are here!!! The Doll is a favorite. 💖 I’m not sure if I’ll TDM this first round (the blorbos, they are infinite and I am indecisive) but I love the Doll and would be happy to see her in a game.

Oh gosh, Connor and the Doll would be SUCH cr! Just two automatons working through their burgeoning personhood. If you have the time to TDM I think they would be super interesting off of each other.

Possessed/Living dolls aren't unheard of in the Lands Between. So, it won't even be that odd to Malenia. lol

But yes. Lots of love all around! I feel like any soulsborne ladies who are joining are going to be trying to find their autonomy in some way. At least they can support each other.
