Welcome to Somnia's second ATP & EMP Meme! This is the place to be if you're interested in the game's setting, if you're unsure about who you'd like to bring or if you just want to check out the vibes. Remember that the EMP is open to all, and you don't need an invite to participate in the slightest!

Dates to note are as follows:

- EVENT/TDM: September 1st
- RESERVES: September 12th
- APPS: September 16th - 23rd

An opportunity for players who do not have invites to post their interest in receiving one will be available on the TDM as a mod comment to reply to. Current players may extend their invites, and if you don't know anyone in the game, the mod will make a decision (note that this does not guarantee an invite). Just like our EMP, you do not need an invite to participate in the TDM, either— only to reserve and app.

Brief Info:

Vander is just a dad and a bartender at the Last Drop. He also previously was a revolutionary for reform of the undercity and helped carve out the cities most prosperous black market called The Lanes. He remains the defacto leader of the Lanes community up until his untimely death. He is the father of four children that he adopted after the formal revolution resulted in many deaths (Claggor, Mylo, Violet, and Powder).

Actions have consequences though. Ironically, Vander's downfall came from a combination of his own past actions, his current inaction due to a deal that leashed him, and the chaos of teenagers looking to leave their mark on the world. He died as he lived: protecting.

...except he didn't die. Due to some shady and very unscrupulous science, Vander's corpse was used over the years to push the boundaries of alchemy and he even fused with a murkwolf and became Warwick who is best described as a blood enabled murder machine who only grows stronger and more ferocious the more injures he sustains and regenerates from.

Vessel Type & General ideas:

At this point, I'm going with the obvious: Lycans. We have to bring out that murder machine somehow as I do plan on taking Vander from closer to the time of his death when he's a functional person who can string an actual sentence of words together. Beyond that, Vander needs to deal with the fall out of actions spinning out of control and the loss of two of his adoptive children, so it will be an emotional rollercoaster for him.

Name: Silco
Canon: Arcane (League of Legends animated)
Brief Info:

THE crime daddy. Silco is the yang to Vander's ying. He also helped carve out The Lanes in the undercity, but a betrayal left him physically and emotionally scarred. Silco usurped Vander's position and unleashed Shimmer (addictive regenerative liquid cocaine) on his own people to gather power. Within 6 years, Silco was the grand puba, called the Chem-Barons, and he ruled with an iron fist, removing opposition, menacing his allies when they nudged him a touch too far, and built the Lanes and the undercity up to be a economic and scientific powerhouse. Yet, his end goal always was to remove Piltover's boot from the neck of the undercity in a free city of its own called Zaun. He was one step away from that too.

But Silco is also a girl-dad. His adoptive daughter is a person he poured all of his worst habits and traumas into to create a likeness. He would do anything for her, include dying for his dream of revolution. She just so happened to kill him (oops) in the world's worst tea party, but his legacy remains. (His adopted daughter is Jinx btw).

Vessel Type & General ideas:

Leaning towards Geomancer or Bloodwright for Silco. As always, Silco is an industrialist powerhouse, and he is a man of progress that will try to use any means necessary to gain power and control of the space he exists in, the people, and the powers around him. He is not someone who wishes to be on the front lines, but he is relentless in his pursuit of control. He tends to favour those who feel shunned or ostracized by society and draw them into the fold, so he will be doing that if he shows up. Also, he has his #1 enforcer here.

Ooooo... Arcane daddies, it's hard to pick just one! Honestly both would be great here, but I must say Silco would be fun to interact with.

Yeah, y'all only get one daddy! Silco tends to be the favourite because he's such a gem of a personality and disrupts... well, everything :)

Silco and the Ghoul would be fascinating too. Vander would somehow find a way to flirt and be buddies with Ghoul.

Well damn you just made it even harder to pick which one I'd want now LOL I mean both, both are good of course, but I would not be mad at Vander flirting with Cooper at all. Also hey they all have something in common, girl dads!

I KNOW! It's why I play both because one or the other is just too hard to pick from, so gotta have both around. I do love them all being girl-dads though. Bond over their babygirls and putting people in the ground (less so the last one for Vander, but you know he has a body count).

game wise, jinx's been thinking about both of them. so some people have seen only silco, some have only seen vander, and some have seen both through her memories. so yeah! roll the dice or whoever gets the most attention from this lmaoo

Well, Jinx technically wins either way, right? I'll actually see which of the two jives most on the TDM and go from there! I need to plan how each of them would handle the setting too.

I do love Jinx and Silco though. Their dynamic is full of such weirdness, whereas Vander and Jinx has the opportunity to be awkward and then wholesome.

Honestly, yeah lol. She does win either way cause she's been missing them both. No matter what, she is going to assume vander or silco are her hallucination because jinx doesn't know that dead people can be here. So their meet up, she will just be nonchalant and be all "oh sup again" lmaoooo

LOLOL amazing and Vander will be like "Wow, you remind me of my daughter, but she's only 11 so it can't be you" and run off. Meanwhile, Silco will immediately take control of the situation. Time for penthouse living, daughter.

With their powers combined, they will do a hostile take-over. OR they will be too busy fighting each other that nothing is actually ever accomplished.

Either of Jinx's daddies would be amazing, and I've got a feeling Sharon would get along with both of them in one way or another. She's a big sucker for parental figures that will do anything for the kids they love.

Yeah! And Vander needs to collect more people younger than him and Silco would tolerate her at first and hopefully more CR would make him understand her value.

Oh oh, another lycan would be so fun to interact with and I have go with with that for Vander as he's fully dog-coded. Silco does love them ex-mafia people; please, this way to come back into the fold because we can help each other build a better world.

Nope, and look it is a pitch that works if he has enough time to work his magic with words. It would be interesting if he could find a way in over time.

what is amazing about this dilemma I feel is that vander has the potential to bring the best of jinx out and bring the cast together vs silco who has the potential to bring out the worst of jinx and bring chaos to the cast. in summary: I DON'T KNOW BECAUSE BOTH ARE SOOOOOO GOOD, PLEASE JUST BRING DADDY

RIGHT? The dichotomy of good versus bad for the cast is very delicious. And both would have vastly different CR potential with Jayce and Viktor. Like Vander is almost too much chill and Silco has no chill. Plus Silco will have met Jayce and is like "u bitch"

GOD YEAH. jayce and viktor are both post canon and i also know that our viktor would be ECSTATIC for a vander!!! jayce also just recently found out he....... caused the [redacted] so he's feeling super awful.... either choice you go will be amazing

My boy Harry is a sadsack who would empathize intensely with Vander or Silco. He’s got a lot in common with Vander tbh, big middle aged bears who punch things good and have a lot of guilt.

Cooper, the other fella I’m thinking of bringing is more straight edge than Harry, and Silco would definitely remind him of the parts of himself he’d rather forget. I think he’d really hit it off with Vander in particular. He loves solid, dog coded, dependable men. And he’d want Vander to be able to see the best in himself.

Yeah, it's going to be a tough choice! We'll see who does better on a TDM and in the setting interacting with all of this horror, bonding nonsense!

Vander does need more big middle aged bears in his life, especially since the last one died in the streets ;_; Please be his friend and also that beard is so impressive, sir.

It amazes me how many characters are like "Silco will remind me of all the worst days of my life". It's so glorious. Silco will try to gather such people together, to remind of that those days are only the worst if they let them die. Be themselves, be their worst, build a better world!

Hello hello!! Such a difficult choice between two dads with such opposite vibes. Speaking from a purely selfish standpoint, Vander would be really interesting to interact with after everything that happened in the commune and Viktor being so familiar with his memories and mind. I do love pitting Viktor against a Silco, though, as the one who got out to try and improve Zaun from Piltover versus the one that stayed in the muck to work towards independence from within.

Oh man, Vander and Viktor would have such an interesting dynamic; I haven't played with post-commune Viktor before. I love the idea of Viktor having to help Vander with his lycan changes as well, since he's there to help... yes, help :)

Silco and Viktor are men with the same intentions, but their approach is 100% opposite. I bet they would fight and bicker like bitches, which is just... /chef's kiss

Both dynamics are so juicy! It would be very interesting if Vander looks to Viktor for help with lycan stuff since Viktor is pretty fucked up physically and mentally. He's in a broken and nerfed Herald body, so he can't do any mind stuff at the moment and honestly wouldn't trust himself to do anything if he still could. As a runecaster, he has to rely on what is currently like a toddler's vocabulary of runes LOL so maybe he can learn "calm" at some point.

But Silco and Viktor being sassy assholes to each other is so delicious too, and I think Silco would get under Viktor's skin in ways that few others could. They also have never actually met in canon, so we'd be able to build that dynamic up organically.
