Welcome to Somnia's second ATP & EMP Meme! This is the place to be if you're interested in the game's setting, if you're unsure about who you'd like to bring or if you just want to check out the vibes. Remember that the EMP is open to all, and you don't need an invite to participate in the slightest!

- EVENT/TDM: September 1stAn opportunity for players who do not have invites to post their interest in receiving one will be available on the TDM as a mod comment to reply to. Current players may extend their invites, and if you don't know anyone in the game, the mod will make a decision (note that this does not guarantee an invite). Just like our EMP, you do not need an invite to participate in the TDM, either— only to reserve and app.

Name: Ain (Bluhen Route)
Canon: Elsword
Brief Info: Ain's whole thing is that he's an angel (hiding it) and learning to be human, because essentially he found a couple other humans he really really liked and went "I want to do what they're doing :D". He is Very Bad at pretending to be human and fails to understand basic principles such as "how emotions work" and "why humans sleep so much when they're depressed" and "how to socialize effectively". Angels aren't supposed to have emotions or free will where he's from, and he managed to break out of this because he loves humans (specifically, his humans he essentially found outside in the trash, but other humans too can count when he wants them to). He just loves them so much. Love of humanity also led him to becoming a healer for his party and usually worrying over their wellbeing all the time. He was canonically diagnosed with an anxiety disorder over this, fun facts.
His magic in general is also offensive-capable and controlled by his emotions for a deeply ironic twist. He knows like, three whole feelings and anything else he describes in physical sensations, i.e. anxiety is usually "the feeling of suffocating". As he develops more he'll figure out the words for these things, but for now he knows "happy" "sad" "mad" and kind of maybe "anxious :(" and that's. It. This man is five hundred years old.
The world he's from is post-apocalyptic and as of current canon his party is in what's just called the Demon Realm, you'll never guess what's in the Demon Realm guys!! And Ain hates it every step of the way because he's also learning to overcome the intrinsic demon-hatred that the Goddess who made him sort of just set into his brain like "there you go my son, go with hate into the world". He has a handful of demon friends now, everyone say good job Ain! (This does not prevent him from saying the occasional demon-racist thing unfortunately, and this is a huge character flaw of his.)
Vessel Type & General ideas: I think Ain would slot well as an Offering. I laughed a little at Seraph because that's just. At his core what he literally is. And as fun as that would be, for reasons outlined above, I have to go with Daemon. One because it would be viscerally upsetting to him and could make for some fun chardev moments, and two because I've already drawn several (new) (not canon) Seraph designs for him so I need something new and freshβ okay more realistically it's because, as he learns more about emotions and emotional pull, I think Daemon would be mechanically very fun to play with. Like, being prone to emotional outbursts (which he won't really Get at first) and then being weak to the same emotions he's trying to learn??? Hell yeah give me that. Also being unable to enter holy spaces which is what he's used to... chef's kiss, brilliant. Genuinely hyping myself up over here lmao.

I don't know your character but he sounds delightful! Jinx could teach him horrible things and all the wrong things on how to be human.

ANYWAY he's delightful because I sell him as a delight, he can actually be fairly passagg at times but that's lessened as the canon has gone on (like literally he went from "we should murder that guy because I just don't like him" to being like "well the Human thing to do would be to (checks notes) Not murder the guy?"). He will give Jinx a stupid nickname too so be readyβ

He sounds really interesting, though, with the whole learning emotions and things. This could be especially fun with the Murmur connection all the characters share, too, he has a ton of potential.
Also he has a fabulous and flashy looking coat, sign me up.

The Murmur connection sounds fun af and is mechanically something I'd love to play with, even though he'll be so obnoxiously confused about it (and genuinely obnoxious about it, this is a man who asks a lot of questions).

Anyway, back to Ain, Caelus will befriend him immediatelyβ¦! Caelus can be his temporary Elsword. The excitable hotblooded and kinda stupid protag. He just needs a red wig.

I hope Caelus is ready for a socially anxious angel following him around all the time... I hope he's ready to child leash this man at some point too. I can't say when the unhinged choices will happen but they WILL HAPPEN.

Ain is too cute. Caelus won't mind his company at all!! He's used to dealing with All Sorts of people, so he'll eventually figure out how to best handle someone like him.
