Welcome to Somnia's second ATP & EMP Meme! This is the place to be if you're interested in the game's setting, if you're unsure about who you'd like to bring or if you just want to check out the vibes. Remember that the EMP is open to all, and you don't need an invite to participate in the slightest!

Dates to note are as follows:

- EVENT/TDM: September 1st
- RESERVES: September 12th
- APPS: September 16th - 23rd

An opportunity for players who do not have invites to post their interest in receiving one will be available on the TDM as a mod comment to reply to. Current players may extend their invites, and if you don't know anyone in the game, the mod will make a decision (note that this does not guarantee an invite). Just like our EMP, you do not need an invite to participate in the TDM, either— only to reserve and app.

Name: Yoshiki Tsujinaka
Canon: The Summer Hikaru Died
Brief Info: Yoshiki is a reserved and sullen teen stuck living in a small town that he desperately wants to escape due to feeling like he cannot be his true self there. Then his BFF Hikaru (and crush) dies and is replaced by a strange entity inhabiting Hikari's corpse. Yoshiki has to reconcile his feelings for this entity with his feel as well as the strange deaths and occurrences happening in the town he desperately wanted to leave.
Vessel Type & General ideas: In canon, Yoshiki is extremely entertwined with Hikaru and Hikaru as well as the town he comes from. I think pulling him out of everything that is familiar and forcing him to bond with new people would be extremely interesting.

Otherwise, I'm thinking Shadowbinder since there's a lot of darkness flowing...Otherwise maybe something that is flowing and goopy... IYKYK.



ᛗ CHARACTER
Name: Laurence Nimth
Canon: Countdown to Countdown
Brief Info: Laurence has spent most of his life living in a locked facility for humans who have evolved to have special powers, called "demiflora". In the Tower, demiflora are safe but forbidden to use their powers. So Laurence has lived a pretty sheltered life and has spent most of that life rejecting his own abilities, believing that was the right thing to do and even bullying and breaking it off with his former best friend, Iris, who questioned the rules.

I think putting him into a game like this would be super interesting because he's like never been outside of his very controlled environment and also currently in the middle of trying to help Iris after feeling guilty about his previous behavior. He's not a guy who is super open about his feelings so it would be interesting to force him into it.

He's a flower boy so it's gotta be leshy.

ᛗ CHARACTER
Name: Kaworu Nagisa
Canon: Neon Genesis Evangelion (manga)
Brief Info: Kaworu is a strange boy who was created by a secret organization to end humanity's reign on earth and his purpose was entertwined with his inevitable death. He possesses the soul of an ancient alien race called an angel but is put into the form of a human. So he doesn't really identify as a human but he's not truly an angel either. Kept locked away for most of his life, he has a very cynical view about humanity.

Though just before his death, he started experiencing emotions for the first time and became very curious about what it would feel like to bond with someone. So obviously the bond aspect of Somnia is super appealing and could be very interesting. However, is a very Youthful Youth and I am not sure if he would be too young but there's definitely potential and he is my all time blorbo.

I'm also really enjoying seeing my scrunkle yoshiki be brought to life on netflix rn, and i hope you are tooooooo.

Unhelpfully I think any of these boys would be excellent here. Goopy Yoshiki would be very funny, Lawrence's character and concept are both very cool looking, and I will never get tired of seeing your Karl around.

My guy Harry is a former gym teacher/guy who wanted to be a dad and has an innate desire to reach out to Troubled Youths. He’s also an amnesiac who’s struggling with being a person, so he’s pretty naive. Any of these boys would be a really interesting CR opportunity.

The other guy I’m thinking of bringing, Dale Cooper, has had Quite a time in a small town where the death of a teenager revealed all kinds of sinister and otherworldly goings on so I think he’d click with Yoshiki…and any sinister alien beings disguised as teens.

Help, I love Harry and throwing him against any of the Youths would be so funny. Especially Kaworu and Laurence who don't know jack about shit when it comes to the real world.

i'm biased towards yoshiki and kaworu since those are my best boys but excited to see whoever you bring in! yoshiki would be crazy interesting in this setting i think, both with all the monster transforms going on and the literal psychic bonding. truly everything would be happening to him so much

Hey Batty!

I don't know much about Dazai at all but I am all for throwing him against all sorts of characters. If I did app, I was kinda hoping to app Yoshiki in as a LCW just because he would give so much focus to 'Hikaru' if he was there and being alone would force him out of his comfort zone.

However, you obviously have been in the game since the start and should app who you want. If you do want to app 'Hikaru', I will decide what I wanna do accordingly.
