Welcome to Somnia's second ATP & EMP Meme! This is the place to be if you're interested in the game's setting, if you're unsure about who you'd like to bring or if you just want to check out the vibes. Remember that the EMP is open to all, and you don't need an invite to participate in the slightest!

Dates to note are as follows:

- EVENT/TDM: September 1st
- RESERVES: September 12th
- APPS: September 16th - 23rd

An opportunity for players who do not have invites to post their interest in receiving one will be available on the TDM as a mod comment to reply to. Current players may extend their invites, and if you don't know anyone in the game, the mod will make a decision (note that this does not guarantee an invite). Just like our EMP, you do not need an invite to participate in the TDM, either— only to reserve and app.

Brief Info:

A heavily (and I mean, heavily) fictionalized version of the historical figure, Oichi is... a mess. She's a quiet, melancholic and somewhat gloomy woman who often seems to be stuck between dream and reality, and only somewhat aware of her surroundings. The reason for that is that, after losing her husband, brother, and pretty much everyone she's cared for, she developed partial amnesia as a way of coping with all the trauma she's experienced.

Despite missing memories, she carries tons of guilt and self-loathing over her role in how things turned out, causing her to constantly blame herself for the suffering around her. At times she hallucinates her loved ones, mistaking people for them, and may even adopt their personalities to deal with her despair. The remnants of her brother's army rallied around her and now use her as a figurehead, dubbing her Demon Queen of the Fifth Heaven, but in reality she's in no state to be leading an army ─ she's lost, disoriented and vulnerable to the manipulations of other warlords.

Vessel Type & General ideas: Unsurprisingly, I'm looking at making her a shadowbinder, somewhat mirroring her canon abilities ─ she has creepy shadow arms spawning around her most of the time, though it's never quite clear whether she's controlling them or they're controlling her. Maybe with this type of ability, she can finally learn to keep them in check and not kill everyone in sight?

i think she will do perfectly in this game since this game is ALLL about bouncing between dreamscape and the real world!! and naturally, with the dream stuff merging with the real life.

Yes, they sure do! I think they could get along well... not that getting along with Oichi is difficult. As long as you're not attacking her loved ones, she'll let you walk all over her lol

So I was not really a Senbasa myself, but I played a lot from Samurai Warriors (including that version of Oichi, lol) and have had many glorious times with Senbasas. Like, samurai were my entire RP milieu for a good few years. So I would love to see her!

Ah, a fellow connoisseur of Totally Historically Accurate Samurai! I love how widely different those versions are, lol. I'll be happy to put her on the TDM and see how she fares here!
