Welcome to Somnia's third ATP & EMP Meme! This is the place to be if you're interested in the game's setting, if you're unsure about who you'd like to bring or if you just want to check out the vibes. Remember that the EMP is open to all, and you don't need an invite to participate in the slightest!

Dates to note are as follows:

- EVENT/TDM: December 1st
- RESERVES: December 12th
- APPS: December 19th - 25th

An opportunity for players who do not have invites to post their interest in receiving one will be available on the TDM as a mod comment to reply to. Current players may extend their invites, and if you don't know anyone in the game, the mod will make a decision (note that this does not guarantee an invite). Just like our EMP, you do not need an invite to participate in the TDM, either— only to reserve and app.

this made me crack up so bad, it's a very fun game (which also plays itself once you unlock it) but with true dedication you can make it to the nautika chapter (there's even more crazy shit i promise you)!! if you ever need any help points at your eyes points at mine im here to give pointers

LMFAO CHAPTER 7 IS A BEASTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT i cried so hard in that one the end was so. i feel like that series of events from math island to that... my heart was HEAVYYY IT WAS DONE SO GOOD BLUEPOCH YOU WORKED SO HARD ON THAT ONE. like that one was soooo intense and it was done so well.

checking the date to now i see the story had you in a vice grip WHAT is your code let me add you.. PLEASE TELL ME UR THOUGHTS A CRAZY RIDE RIGHT? CRAZY!!!

I care 37 so much.........
watching almost everyone she grew up with betray her/dissolve into paint???? lucy implied to have risked annihilation like 200+ times to solve the ritual. arcana being NUKED.

i love apocalypse narratives and weird body horror and this is just such a perfect mix of those things with totally unique scenario within the genre on top of that, it was never not going to GET me. they inject enough real world history into their reimagining to keep it immersive. i like that the timekeeper is actually a CHARACTER and not just a player stand-in.

all in all i'm really impressed.

37... MY BABY GIRL I LOVE HER SO MUCH... and her relationship with 6 and then the damn layers (how her mom knew hoffman which was crazy).
aaa it was so sad because that island was split from everything that the storm could touch and STILL it reached them, and how that affected sophia the WORST and she was cutting everyone into numbers as their bodies split was so peak
AND LUCYS WAS SO CRAZY AND YOU SAW HOW LIKE SHE HAD TO LEAVE BC HER MEMORY WAS FRIED AND they disliked her methods but she had the best method and risked everything for progress for the future because lucy is actually the child of science/progression so ofc she'd risk it like that .... :)
and then isolde and kakania oh lord... lord!!! kakania only surviving bc isolde gave her that pin thats probably embedded with manus power or something... oh to live in reverse 1999!

YES that is actually why i played reverse 1999, i was so impressed by vertin having a personality and not just what we make her out to be, she hurts, she smiles, she does everything like an actual person and doesn't force herself into the narrative like. she's perfect part of the story and isn't """roped""" in and i like how the cast changes through the stories like her sidekicks along the way. and the fact they put in real world facts and actually make it interesting is sooooooooooooo good, like BP is really dedicated to their craft, i know a lot of people praise how much time and effort they put into learning history/cultures/etc. like you know it has to have the fantasy twist but it still makes it interesting to want to learn why xyz happened at that time and then even the real people they use ie. nautika amundsen is based off an actual guy w/ that last name, she's like his niece or something i read?

i DO have to tell you the next chapter 8 has really crazy mixed reviews, but please keep your eyes open for anjo nala (also there's like side events in game, opening my game as i type because i need you to lock in if you havent:

enter the show > reflections > floor it to the golden city & the haunted highway will have stuff for chapter 8 and also storm lore if you wanted to read those first! )

i'm also glad you like it!!! i'm sorry i yapped a lot it's such a niche canon so when i find someone who likes it im like WOW r99 what a great game

edit: a lot of people say farewell, rayashki is SUPER good i read like half and i need to finish it but i got so caught up with everything else... don't look at me and you can unlock vereinsamt for the chara stories of kakania and lucy which were ALSO good i did read those

YEAH, the shot of kakania holding her golden knot alone after gathering everyone to attempt it...... there's a lot of artistry here. the sound effecting in that cutscene of sophia losing it was MMMMMMM. and the one in isolde's memories of arcana drawing the circle. the little random zoomed in cuts of the image they did...? such a simple thing, but it made it so eerie.

and how sometimes they just let the characters monologue in their native language?

i love it.

admittedly i'm also zooming faster and faster through the content bc it's tdm month soon and this world is so interesting to me that i'd love to find some new guys to play around with from it. 37 is top contender rn, but also at the same time not at all because MATH IS SO VERY MUCH NOT MY SUBJECT

I KNOWWWWWWWWWWWW you say it so well the ARTISTRY and then the art like you said before oil paint and all and you know that was for a REASON and not just aesthetic judgement!! and omg the circle was soooo crazy like i was so sad isolde should have went with the manus i thought that would have been a good set up for her, especially with how kakania left...

YEAH!!! the languages and then iirc isolde's VA actually does opera? like even the people they choose for casting is locked in...

GOD I UNDERSTAND WHEN I PLAYED 37 IT WAS . SO HARD BC I ALSO AM NOT GOOD WITH MATH but listen if you play with 37 i will def tag you with like medicine pocket... 37 has an(other) anecdote im not sure if it's on r99 anecdotes but it is on yt!! i think we could do something so crazy there esp if you wanted to try her out!! you know i will be cheering for you obviously.... i will support you

I DID NOT, though i figured there'd maybe be some future continuity in store since he left with our antarctica friend merel.

this is good news. i wish to see more of him and his horsie. and for him to finally be forced to eat chocolate and to perhaps just enjoy 1 tiny thing (he will find a way not to)
