It's kind of like a jelly? Or it gets made into shirataki noodles. It's chewy but doesn't have a strong flavor, so it takes on the flavors of whatever it's cooked with.
Can't say that savory jelly sounds all that appetizing. Then again, it just makes me think of this American thing... [ You know what? Here, Megumi, feast your eyes on the hot dog jello salad. ]
I think it's just called jello salad. Nothing remotely salad-y about it, and there are worse ones. I saw one made out mayo, cocktail sauce, and shrimp. You eat them cold. Slice it like a piece of cake.
