strange things happen in the night. maybe you drink, or dream, or get high as a kite, and it's hard to hide it! especially when we're all collectively connected in a way! the rules are quite simple! you may even know them by now.

With my cursed technique, it's best if I can keep my hands free, so I'd rather be empty-handed than use a weapon I'm not comfortable with.

My senpai has been trying to beat more weapon skills into me, though. [ There are two kinds of people in the world: those who would find training with Maki to be exciting, and those who consider it an absolute goddamned nightmare. No prizes for guessing which category Megumi is in. ]
It's good to know your strengths, yeah, but maybe you're not carrying it around to fight with?
[ kiddo... who said anything about killing things? haha... ]
Like say, maybe you need to open a can, or a lock, or get yourself free from a sticky situation, you know? It can be good to have a tool on hand that can do those things for you!
[ depends on the type, but if you've got something as multipurpose as a knife on you, why not use it, right? ]
What I'm saying is, it's more for the utility than as a weapon. I'd hope we're pretty good at avoiding hosts by now, and most vessels shouldn't be causing problems unless there's something funny going on in the first place, right?
[ and, yeah, there's megumi's whole combat style, but can we hope he doesn't have to use that in the day to day? at least? ]
