[ The undertone is rather clear, though, that his problem believing it isn't because he thinks she would lie about it or that he doesn't take her seriously. It's entirely a problem on his end of the equation.

[ Megumi's used to people around him thinking of him more like an asset than anything else. Megumi the person is just attached to the Ten Shadows technique and the Zenin bloodline and all the bullshit that goes along with it.

When he feels broken, it naturally follows that the asset is worth less, doesn't it? ]

Might not be a good idea. I've already done some fucked up shit to people while Sundowning. I'd hate to see what I'd do if I were siding with that bitch. [ It's hypocritical of her, though. She'd exhaust every possible option for others. ]

I've been told it's alright to be selfish. Besides, if we're being honest most people's moral compass point to what they want first. It takes outside influences to redirect your compass.

They have their reasons, which I can't entirely blame them for. It's easier to see threats as monsters instead of people.
