Oh? Uh... why is that? Is it because some lizards can grow their limbs back?

I don't want to leave that possibility up to an untested fate.

But, no. If it does, that'd be spectacular. If it doesn't, quadrupeds have a history of adapting finely to three limbs due to the weight distribution. Unless you're an ungulate.
