MURMURS FROM LAST NIGHT

[ A beat of hesitation, and then: ] She sent me a stuffed animal in the first couple of months here. Something from home. [ Distate colors her words, upper lip curling with the ghost remnants of rage. ]
Did she step in herself to protect you? Or do you just think she did because you're alive right now?
[ He doesn't know why a stuffed animal of all things would incite so much rage but... He does remember waking up with that skull. Was it actually a gift? ]
Miss, the hosts stopped attacking me after I asked.
She said a lot of creepy things I didn't understand, but that was what mattered to me.
[ anger morphs to interest, her emotions ebbing and flowing like the tide. ] So, she does have control over the Hosts. [ that is the first official confirmation she's ever heard. she's been running on assumptions. ]

[ Don't mistake this for him trying to defend Sleep more then he already has. She might be useful, but he harbors any reservations she actually cares what Saheon the person wants. ]
Because, if we're counting the months right. I'm missing nine months of my life between when she took me and when I woke up.
[ What is with this maniac. Saheon's eye twitches, the very though of throwing your life away for a parent (isn't there a saying about them not wanting to outlive their children? One might wonder what Sharon's father would think!) but for once he decides to avoid an argument. If Miss Sharon wants to throw her life away, maybe that will be useful later. ]
It's just a guess from keeping track of the seasons, miss. Last I recalled in the waking world, it was nearly April.
