MFLN ● JANUARY 2026

MFLN
welcome sleepies, to our very first meme saturday! every month a little mod-hosted meme will go up for us to play around with admist the chaos, and this theme was chosen by popular demand! we've all heard about texts from last night, but have you heard of......

MURMURS FROM LAST NIGHT

strange things happen in the night. maybe you drink, or dream, or get high as a kite, and it's hard to hide it! especially when we're all collectively connected in a way! the rules are quite simple! you may even know them by now.
πŸ’€ post a top level for your character and include a few text starters, like the ones provided.
πŸ’€ interact.
πŸ’€ thrive.
πŸ’€ if you wish for your threads to be game canon, the sky is the limit (just make sure your thread partner is okay with it!).
πŸ’€ We might have some special guests later.
have fun. worship.

[ These fucking Zoomers—

Like, he knows that rap was never as big in Japan, but it's still had some level of cultural influence.

Across the Murmur, he casts a remembered image of the man himself, followed by a few bars of one of his hits (content warnings). ]

He was one of the greatest rappers of all time. Died too young. He was shot. Absolute legend.

[ It might be less that Megumi is a zoomer and more the fact that he has the media consumption habits of a fifty-something-year-old man, to be fair. His friends are out here like "let's shop! let's go to the movies!" and he's just ditching them to go home, read some popular non-fiction, and fall asleep on the couch... ]

I don't know much about rap. [ Actually... ] I guess you didn't strike me as the type, either.

Didn't strike you as the type! [ There's a little incredulous but very amused laugh. ] I went to college in America in 2010. We weren't drinking jungle juice in people's dorm rooms to "Hey Soul Sister".

[ Wait, he might not know that one if he doesn't know Biggie. Especially because it was such a thoroughly mid song that got overplayed to annoying. Hopefully the Japanese population was largely spared, but if so, Megumi's luck has run out, because he's casting a few bars of it through the psychic link between them for emphasis. ]

And then I was in Iraq and Syria. Guys who are deployed like white girl music and trap music.
