Welcome to Somnia's fourth ATP & EMP Meme! This is the place to be if you're interested in the game's setting, if you're unsure about who you'd like to bring or if you just want to check out the vibes. Remember that the EMP is open to all, and you don't need an invite to participate in the slightest!

Dates to note are as follows:

- EVENT/TDM: March 1st
- RESERVES: March 13th
- APPS: March 20th - 26th

An opportunity for players who do not have invites to post their interest in receiving one will be available on the TDM as a mod comment to reply to. Current players may extend their invites, and if you don't know anyone in the game, the mod will make a decision (note that this does not guarantee an invite). Just like our EMP, you do not need an invite to participate in the TDM, either— only to reserve and app.

Thank you, thank you. Aventurine probably would be integral to no one getting mauled in the proposed player plot and Ratio feeling terrible. Out of the Ratiolings, they probably all like him more than everyone else by default for reasons ranging from ’Shiny Gambler man!’ to ‘Friend!’ to ‘I have a PowerPoint on how to monopolize his time more. #0 stop saying it’s immoral and infringes on the Gambler’s autonomy to eat the competition for the most tolerable company here’s time.’

I'm happy to say that Aventurine's Token abilities have him specializing in restraints and manipulation as part of his defensive build, so he's well equipped to sit on the good doctor as needed.

(there's something pretty hilarious to me about if you go through with this that we would end up with two medical doctors, and both would be kimeras.)

Also, tbh, Aventurine has been a quietly pouting mess that he's no one's number one priority because he is a bratty attention whore, so he'll be sure to let Ratio know he thinks it's very cool that he has like 2 or 3 Ratio variants that think he's pretty hot shit!! So what if one of them wants to strategically mail and eat competition, when it's wrapped in a cat package, mass public opinion is that systematic terror is adorable.

Also, I'm sorry in advance, but if Ratio has fluffy cat ears and tail he will be bullied into pets and also toebean pokings. Aventurine already spends a lot of time grooming some other Offerings and has the tools necessary, so Ratio will also get brushed and everything else. On the plus side... they might be able to figure out how to make him a special bath with Caelus's Token abilities (although Aventurine will definitely initially be like "can't you just learn how to make some your Offering Accessories turn off temporarily so you can use a normal bath...")

Feel free to toss Aventurine out any window necessary, it's not like Ratio will ever know peace.

(The HSR cast lives with a few others in a hotel, but sadly the hotel has no pool so we can't exploit that immediately... but I don't see why we can't slowly work on building a sometime like one that Ratio can fill with bubbles.)

Jokes aside though, if he hurts anyone than Ratio genuinely would feel more comfortable in the aftermath with Aventurine around to restrain him in the event anything ever happens again. Emotional support Gambler.

(Clearly the medical doctors are both Kimera’s because they are equipped to be frustrated by the full knowledge of the biological impossibility of their current bodies)

Ratio will be able to be bullied into toe beans squishes and pets. He will deny enjoying it but his purring and tail waggling among other traitorous new animal features will give it away that he is actually enjoying the attention.

Manage toe bean and petting privilege acquisition before the Ratioling rebellion and scheduled daily time for it will be on the list of demands in return for Ratio back in control.

Manage to get him a bath or add a pool to the hotel and that will be enough to buy on demand toe bean squishes. Ratio is going to have an issue turning off the offering features because the Ratiolings are shaking him like ‘Idiot, how are you supposed to communicate without those? Veto’d’

The Ratiolings have none of Ratio’s usual filters and will gladly let Aventurine know he’s their favorite and priority especially if he keeps those pets and attention coming. “Did you know #0 was lonely before you? You were his first friend ever as far as we can tell and-“ then the Ratiolings lose their Aventurine time for the day as Ratio doesn’t appreciate snitching.

Genuinely them hitting convergence and Ratio getting a Brain Ghost Peacock Aventurine would unironically help his situation. The council would be too busy fighting over the peacock’s attention to bother Ratio as much. I’d want to slap poor Ratio with some more physical changes like additional peacock feathers though.

Now that might get Aventurine thrown out a window again, because how did his body get more complex to maintain!

Ratio needs to learn to herd his council circus affectionately... maybe they will give him more breaks and take naps if they are healthily stimulated and exercised daily... it's like the ultimate self-care experiment in the weirdest way.

Teach him the ways of IPC underling herding and maybe some better soft social skills and he might.

Genuinely yes, that would be the effect of the council at their best. Gunpoint demanding Ratio to go take naps, do silly stupid things, socialize, not be productive for a bit. Despite being decent at self care post-work, Ratio gives me the vibes of a recovering workaholic who’s first instinct post-too much coffee palpitations is still that is must be heart issues instead of too much coffee.

Do they have a coffee machine here. He will make finding a supply of that beverage a task somehow if not.

They are also long, dragging, and remind Ratio of Aventurine every time he sees them. Selfish man, do you want to monopolize his thoughts more?

How would you like some physical changes too? Get inflicted with additional eye color rings when wirelessly circus sitting the Ratiolings. Not so wonderful then hm?

… Also I just realized that the Ratiolings are functionally the cat cakes but 100x worse. Ratio loosing his ability to criticize Ruan Mei because he too ignored his creations for a month.

Who probably do indeed chill out and take naps once in a while once their needs are being met. Dang, with you mentioning that, now I’m thinking how with 4 brains in one body, technically 3 could sleep and leave 1 to pilot it with no sleep deprivation side effects.

Guess we get to add sleepwalking to the concerning symptoms list. Though the Ratiolings would not get far with him in bipedal form. Three animals fighting over the nervous system controller and crashing him into the door and waking him up before getting too far.

Glad to know the 20 stubbed talons he’ll get will get the most necessary ice bath ever.

Genuinely sleepwalking is pretty loud and terrifying for those outside it. Especially since the person sleepwalking didn’t remember it even if they are talking and can get aggressive if you say the wrong thing.

Best you can do in that situation is try and make sure that the person doesn’t get hurt, but that requires staying up yourself.

Ratio would probably check and see it’s a side effect of the anti psychotic he’s taking at first and try and change the medication, only to be worried when it doesn’t stop.

I see Ratio as the kind of guy whose coffee orders poor cafe owners need the entire cup to write down. He is going to be so pissy about there only being instant.

At least he can make a crappy iced coffee- wait I just remembered.

Caffeine is poisonous even in small quantities to cats. Keep him away from the machine in the mornings before he gets used to his new body so he doesn’t accidentally poison himself.

Yeah Ruan Mei would absolutely result in some sort of player plot event due to doing something. Legit might make her way to aeonhood here. Just make her a swarmling and call her Tazzyronth 2 Elecric Boogaloo.

Also the mods approved the Ratiolings. Congratulations, it's incoming trauma!

God one of the Ratiolings would be stupid enough to try and drink coffee anyway because some animals just think they are invincible or have nothing going on.

Ratio reconnects himself hours later and finds their stomach having to be pumped because someone looked away for 5 seconds.

I Just remembered Rond

Also us talking has reminded me of Rond. Given how Rond is implied by Ratio’s lore story 1 to be afflicted by some sort of mental malady preventing him from coherent thoughts, the parallels Ratio will be able to draw to what happened to Rond will likely deeply scare him.

If the two talk about that and Aventurine presses the right conversational buttons, he probably could get some admittance to what Ratio thinks is going on before things blow up. Might even be able to kick off the rebellion earlier than intended.
