Welcome to Somnia's second ATP & EMP Meme! This is the place to be if you're interested in the game's setting, if you're unsure about who you'd like to bring or if you just want to check out the vibes. Remember that the EMP is open to all, and you don't need an invite to participate in the slightest!

AND she's gay. so much happening to her

Vessel Type & General ideas: help me decide!! i'm pretty set on her being an offering, but i'm torn between two types:

- daemon: throughout canon, one of mizi's main driving forces is her grief for a lost loved one she worshipped like a god. by the end of canon (spoilers), mizi winds up badly burned and traumatized, but alive. with this offering form, i'd emphasize mizi's newfound association with fire and her loss of her "god," very much in the style of a fallen angel. mizi is literally pink homura your honor

- merrow: if daemon emphasizes mizi's connection with her lost love, a merrow would best emphasize the conflict between mizi's alien and human side. mizi was raised by jellyfish-type aliens and has a complicated relationship to her own humanity, and taking on the alien form of her guardian would exacerbate that. i'd also emphasize mizi having a siren song, reflecting her experience in a singing competition, and her grief for her lost love would be a very mournful-lost-at-sea type. plus, and i cannot emphasize this enough: she'd be SO damp

no, really.

honestly her collection of shitposts can tell you so much about her better than i can in the mess that is my brain, but!!! thorn is the kinda gal that tries to get along with everyone (because she's big on trading favors) and chooses kindness as a means of survival while also being hard to get close to because of abandonment issues, WHILE ALSO craving deep connections after being banished from her childhood home. essentially when her loyalty is won she's your ride-or-die, your biggest cheerleader, bodyguard, the kind of friend that'll help you hide a body but with major "in my defense i was left unsupervised" energy when she wanders herself into a trap. she likes shiny things, monsters, and reminding people that violence is always a valid choice (within reason. maybe.).

i missed last round because of Stuff and Things but this game looks incredible and fingers crossed for this round!

Vessel Type & General ideas: for the most part i was thinking bloodwright or beastkin as a token, or trickster as an offering! as far as plans go, i just love tossing characters together and see where cr goes! thorn is good for getting into tons of shenanigans and generally causing chaos.

Canon: Kpop Demon Hunters
Brief Info: Rumi is the leader and main vocal of the Kpop group HUNTR/X, an incredible singer and performer - who also moonlights as a demon hunter alongside her groupmates. She was trained from birth for this, with her mother being from the previous generation of hunters and raised by her aunt-figure after her parents passed.

Oh.

Also she's half-demon, dealt with a literal demon boy band fairly recently, was forced to reconcile her demon heritage with her destiny as a hunter, helped rebuild the barrier that separates the demon realm and the human one (as all hunters do, via singing that is so powerful/moving that it literally resonates with other souls to create said barrier) and saw her first love sacrifice himself to help her send the demon king back to where he belongs.

Good times.

Vessel Type & General ideas: this is EXTREMELY tentative ofc, and I'm always open to other suggestions, but-! I feel that Rumi would work extremely well as a Lightweaver, and I'd be looking forward to her discussing things with everyone and perhaps opening up to others that aren't as familiar with her being a pop star to see the real her - a major theme of the movie and of Rumi's character arc seems to be giving oneself the ability to show who they truly are and not repress themselves.

Brief Info:

Tsukasa is an idol from the unit ‘Knights’, a unit that works for New Dimension, an agency within an entertainment company known as Ensemble Square. Hardworking and serious, while he is the youngest within his unit, he was crowned king of Knights and is considered to be a miracle by his seniors due to having helped build the unit back again after a dramatic fall from grace.

He tends to be all business and finds it difficult to interact casually with peers, as he was raised in a wealthy and very strict household. His parents have already placed the mantle of being the family head upon his shoulders, and with that, he manages to remain at the top of his class, leader of his unit, and representative of New Dimension in an endless, somewhat exhausting juggle.

Due to his strict upbringing and lack of friends during his developmental years, he tends to panic and become a little shy and unsure how to interact with others if the interaction cannot fall under the umbrella of idol work, school work, or club activities. He becomes a little self-conscious and worries he might be boring, yet is HIGHLY competitive and does much better making rivals than he does friends (clearly this is simply friendship). He can sometimes be unintentionally rude due to his inexperience, but does learn from his mistakes and he desires to become stronger as an individual.

Despite how serious he behaves, he is quite easy to tease and rile up, is easily flustered, and seeks the attention of others, wishing to be taken seriously while also being doted on. He is a little gullible, naive, and a poor judge of character, but believes strongly in doing what is right and just. He is confident that with hardwork and a strong will he and his unit can accomplish anything, and he doesn’t plan to stop or compromise until they’ve conquered all.

He'll be totally out of his element in game and will probably not some help because this rich boy child has no survival skills in the wild. He knows how to manage money. He doesn't know how to forge or make a fire or the like. He's book smart, not really street smart.

Anyway, Knights is cute and they are kind of boy-bandy.

Vessel Type & General ideas:

Originally I was going to go with a Valkyrie type and make him a Phoenix! I may have a castmate who wishes to app though and birds are kind of ahhh for them. SO INSTEAD, the two ideas I am floating around the most right now are-

Mer- Since sirens and mers are often associated with music, I think it works and fits. Plus I'm just a sucker for mer things in general. I'm tossed on what kind of mer to make him... tbh I don't think he would work as something fierce, like a shark. But something more pretty or ornamental, like a koi fish, goldfish, or betta fish.

Alternative options to that... Octopus or Jellyfish somehow. I would need to read back through and see how mers work when it comes to land things more, but anyway... mers. cute.

Golem- I just think making him a Land of the Lustrous character would be cute. Make him a pretty Ruby or other red gem of some kind. When injured, he just chips away cutely and has to be pieced back together. Shiny gem. Pretty.

hello, i'm here with a man from one of CLAMP's most prolific series. a two-for, even! subaru is: the 13th heir of a powerful onmyouji sect, an exorcist/medium/diviner (big mage energy), a twin, extremely tired of being alive but still fashionable in the meantime, burdened with massive survivor's guilt, masochistic in all ways, overly serious, too kind, sad sad sad, pretty gay chief, and a cautionary tale on why too much empathy is bad, actually. he's also supposed to be stopping the apocalypse, but he has a lot of relationship drama. as one does.

Vessel Type & General ideas:

leaning towards token, a runecaster. it slots in nicely as an adjacent to his canon powers where he wields ink and paper talismans. subaru performed his duties as an onmyouji well but always felt mercilessly othered by his power — i'd like to see him in a position where these abilities are more internally focused and "part" of him rather than a function of his familial responsibilities. i'm also interested in how he'll function in regards to the murmur, being psychically gifted but reticent, dogged, and very self-assured in his lean towards destruction. he's not used to any of that being broadcast, even as a sensation.

Brief Info:

A grumpy single dad who lost his co-parent, he's trying his best. The player character may or may not be a new co-parent, but acts like an enabler of kiddie bad behaviors, and has even dumped a kid on him for a while like he's a free babysitter. He really is trying his best despite not having signed up for this, and fighting bad people helps him calm down.

Sid is very much an edgelord-level vigilante who believes in beating the hell out of the rich and powerful to clean up society. That's what he was taught to do after he suffered under a lot of traumatic situations as a kid and saved by a knight-turned-edgelord vigilante, but honestly he didn't need much convincing after the things he witnessed. He's grumpy, cynical of people and their motivations, and super tired of shenanigans, but doesn't struggle much against the sillier ones solely because his kid(s) beat it out of him.

Oh and he's draconic. Not an actual dragon, but he looks like one! Most people in his city didn't like him because of that. They're fixing their attitudes against dragons, but it's slow-going. (If this has changed in Endwalker and Dawntrail, I have no idea since I stopped playing at 5.3.)

Vessel Type & General ideas: Token, specifically Bloodwright. Look I know that theme-wise Shadowbinder would suit him really well since he's a Dark Knight edgelord but abilities-wise Bloodwright is better... Strength is pain, strength is sacrifice, etc.

Motoko Kusanagi | Ghost in the Shell SAC

Name: Motoko Kusanagi, frequently referred to as the Major. "Motoko Kusanagi" is technically an alias itself, as the Major doesn't actually remember her name prior to losing her original body.
Canon: Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex/2nd Gig

Brief Info:
The Major is from a permutation of the far-off future of 2035 where society at large is diffusely cyberized, with many people, bereft of any cyborg enhancements, will still have some kind of "cyberbrain". This allows them access to the wider net and even other people, with "diving" into these brains and "ghost-hacking" them is an incredibly common occurrence across the series. Motoko herself has also been almost completely cyberized, with only her original brain and spinal cord remaining intact following her transition to a fully prosthetic body.

She's the commander of Public Security Section 9 after spending years serving Japan's military, and displays a high amount of skill in hacking and tactical combat. As a person, she's very often serious and lost in her own head. She also drives like a bat out of hell and doesn't care about most social mores. She's something of a realist and very much believes in actions over words!

Vessel Type & General ideas:
I'm mostly decided on some kind of beastly creature, just because of the novelty for her. The Major is certainly used to operating different humanoid bodies, but she hasn't had a flesh and blood body since she was roughly around five years old or so, and a monstrous body would be super fun to explore on top of that.

That being said, I'm not sure what kind! I'm leaning towards something cat or cat-like, but other than that, I'm not married to any particular idea!

Brief Info: veterinarian Clark Kent moonlights as a sociopathic supernatural assassin and later, on a casual conscription basis, as henchman of the apocalypse. He's exceptionally adept at corporate pleasantries and the hapless layman front, but struggles with human connection, likens people to objects, frequently sacrifices folks to a (metaphorical?) evil tree and has been known to redirect his rightfully earned karmic backlash onto puppies and kittens in his care.

Vessel Type & General ideas: I am thinking token illusionist in a nod to his canon abilities, though he would sting remarkably to lose his shikigami (indentured spiritual animal sidekick), and I would love to pair him up with an animalistic offering. Shhhhh, ignore the bit about puppy kicking above, that would never happen to you, babe.

I'd be picking him up from a timeline point of personal revelation over his ability to have feelings for people, so he'd be in for a daily diet of caffeine & copium while he blitzes through his existential crisis.

CR-wise, he's exceptionally practical and borderline emotionless, so he's good for your... unpleasant... jobs and might organically steer more toward like-minded efficient types. He's very curious about all things and people supernatural for professional reasons, and he will gravitate toward folks who have sweets or cigarettes. While he might not sympathize, his fedora-free Nice Guy Oscar performance means he's typically always there if you need advice and steering. From a serial killer. God help you.

So idk if you're familiar with Jujutsu Kaisen, but it's stuffed full of sorcerers with a very traditional Japanese hierarchy in charge, getting horribly traumatized protecting people from terrible things. And Megumi in particular is from one of the old sorcerer clans (hates them though), overly serious and with a stupid self-destructive streak.

Also his teacher/mentor/guardian has a whole thing about EYES so uh. Yup.

Canon: The Summer Hikaru Died
Brief Info: Yoshiki is a reserved and sullen teen stuck living in a small town that he desperately wants to escape due to feeling like he cannot be his true self there. Then his BFF Hikaru (and crush) dies and is replaced by a strange entity inhabiting Hikari's corpse. Yoshiki has to reconcile his feelings for this entity with his feel as well as the strange deaths and occurrences happening in the town he desperately wanted to leave.
Vessel Type & General ideas: In canon, Yoshiki is extremely entertwined with Hikaru and Hikaru as well as the town he comes from. I think pulling him out of everything that is familiar and forcing him to bond with new people would be extremely interesting.

Otherwise, I'm thinking Shadowbinder since there's a lot of darkness flowing...Otherwise maybe something that is flowing and goopy... IYKYK.

Name: Laurence Nimth
Canon: Countdown to Countdown
Brief Info: Laurence has spent most of his life living in a locked facility for humans who have evolved to have special powers, called "demiflora". In the Tower, demiflora are safe but forbidden to use their powers. So Laurence has lived a pretty sheltered life and has spent most of that life rejecting his own abilities, believing that was the right thing to do and even bullying and breaking it off with his former best friend, Iris, who questioned the rules.

I think putting him into a game like this would be super interesting because he's like never been outside of his very controlled environment and also currently in the middle of trying to help Iris after feeling guilty about his previous behavior. He's not a guy who is super open about his feelings so it would be interesting to force him into it.

He's a flower boy so it's gotta be leshy.

Name: Kaworu Nagisa
Canon: Neon Genesis Evangelion (manga)
Brief Info: Kaworu is a strange boy who was created by a secret organization to end humanity's reign on earth and his purpose was entertwined with his inevitable death. He possesses the soul of an ancient alien race called an angel but is put into the form of a human. So he doesn't really identify as a human but he's not truly an angel either. Kept locked away for most of his life, he has a very cynical view about humanity.

Though just before his death, he started experiencing emotions for the first time and became very curious about what it would feel like to bond with someone. So obviously the bond aspect of Somnia is super appealing and could be very interesting. However, is a very Youthful Youth and I am not sure if he would be too young but there's definitely potential and he is my all time blorbo.

Canon: Tokyo Ghoul :re
Brief Info: Arima is a strange little guy. He was essentially born and raised to be a weapon for a family of ghouls to...eradicate other ghouls?! He's famously known as the CCG's Reaper in canon because this guy just cannot die or be beaten apparently?? He's also partially ghoul, so that would be why! What that also comes with is a myriad of genetic defects. More specifically, he is blind or is going blind in both of his eyes, but also his accelerated aging, which is the cause of his white hair. Despite all that, he still manages to defeat the strongest ghouls in canon and remains undefeated, having killed himself in his final battle with Kaneki.

Despite him being a killing machine, he's a pretty nice guy actually? He likes to read and, due to not really having a childhood, thanks to being raised to be a weapon, he's pretty open toward new things. He's typically very stoic and silent which can be unnerving for most people to deal with but he's a nice guy...usually. He's a bit goofy but mostly just stoic and serious because his life was shit and will continue to be shit, should I app him here!

Vessel Type & General ideas: For token, I'd go for Lightweaver since I like the idea of an emotionless man's emotions being able to be seen through his powers and that he's not as stoic as he seems!

For offerings I'd choose Drake - for the protectiveness/vengence aspect
Or! Seraph due to his presence in canon, more often than not bringing a sense of dread and awe when he was on the battlefield.

Admittedly I don't know anything about Tokyo Ghoul, but doing a quick google search Cooper would be so lol that there are other people called ghouls but they look perfectly normal, they just have to do a cannibalism to stay alive.

But also damn Arima sounds like someone you wouldn't want to mess with, I love it.

A woman who is slowly having her entire person deteriorate from nihility. She traverses planets and space alone, but she cherishes the memories and people she meets along the way.

Vessel Type & General ideas:.

I know I want her to be a Token

I'm thinking maybe Chronomancer or Shadowbinder as I feel like these options tie in well with her as a person and her state of being. I think I'm leaning towards Shadowbinder as a fun reflection of her on the path of Nihility, but perhaps gaining something by having control over it versus how IX seems to swallow things into nothingness.

Canon: Genshin Impact
Brief Info:

The aloof administrator of the Fortress of Meropide. Wriothesley is a man who had went to prison and eventually became the warden of said prison located in Fontaine's waters. He has an easygoing personality but is a man who is willing to dirty his hands to get what he thinks needs to be done.

Vessel Type & General ideas:

I'm either thinking of going Offering: Lycan or Vessel: Artificer.

I think both of these would work for him. Wriothesley is entrenched in dog imagery after all. His constellation is Cerberus and Meropide's symbol is a three-headed dog. Not only that, but his hair just resembles dog ears. Perfect dog man perfect to make a big pupper.

On the flip side, I like the idea of Artificer because of Wriothesley's tinkering with meka and I think it would be interesting for him to kind of lean into that, I think it would also be interesting for him to touch more into that. It's likely I'll go Lycan though.

Canon: Sengoku BASARA
Brief Info:

A heavily (and I mean, heavily) fictionalized version of the historical figure, Oichi is... a mess. She's a quiet, melancholic and somewhat gloomy woman who often seems to be stuck between dream and reality, and only somewhat aware of her surroundings. The reason for that is that, after losing her husband, brother, and pretty much everyone she's cared for, she developed partial amnesia as a way of coping with all the trauma she's experienced.

Despite missing memories, she carries tons of guilt and self-loathing over her role in how things turned out, causing her to constantly blame herself for the suffering around her. At times she hallucinates her loved ones, mistaking people for them, and may even adopt their personalities to deal with her despair. The remnants of her brother's army rallied around her and now use her as a figurehead, dubbing her Demon Queen of the Fifth Heaven, but in reality she's in no state to be leading an army ─ she's lost, disoriented and vulnerable to the manipulations of other warlords.

Vessel Type & General ideas: Unsurprisingly, I'm looking at making her a shadowbinder, somewhat mirroring her canon abilities ─ she has creepy shadow arms spawning around her most of the time, though it's never quite clear whether she's controlling them or they're controlling her. Brief Info: cantarella is the matriarch of the fisalia family, which is a family/faction known for a lot of shady things in fantasy italy, including poisoning themselves, poisoning their enemies and poisoning their own members. yes, she has very high resistance against being poisoning because she's been consuming poison since she's young.

she has a very femme fatale, witchy vibe who supposedly sides with the bad guys, but in truth, she's been scheming on the backend to get info from them and tear them down from the inside. she was also the blessed maiden of their sentinel (think the official human representative of a god who inherits their power) but she gave it all away because protecting her own people is more important.

Vessel Type & General ideas: i'm still in the process of figuring this out but! possibly merrow for offerings or an illusionist as token. she controls jellyfish in her canon and her jellyfish has the ability to put people into a dream where the illusions are almost real, so she'd work extremely well with either type.

Brief Info: phainon is the newest punching bag of honkai: star rail in terms of sad backstories and tortured fates. he's amphoreus's "deliverer", a warrior carrying the coreflame of worldbearer while trying to rewrite his world's fate by keeping a galaxy-destroying entity from waking up. to do this, he cycles through time again and again and again, killing his enemies and friends, collecting coreflames and letting his rage boil over so he can punch his not!dad in the face.

in reality though, he's just a white boy who wants to lie down in wheatfields, spar with his bff and live a normal life.

Ah, Phainon, my love, you deserve everything under the sun... but Cantarella is also wonderful and does have more in common with Aventurine at his present if we pretend hoyo punching bag backstories don't exist. Back to Phainon, though, feel like he also has particularly great opportunities for you with regards to the NPC Sleep because of everything's he's been through.

Both have excellent potential and it would be great to see either of them, hope you'll at least test-drive one or both if you got the time!

Brief Info: Sweet, charming, incredibly intelligent, a poor manipulator, mostly insane, and very lovely. Monika is not the protagonist of the game-within-the-game of DDLC, but she IS arguably the protagonist of the meta text. She's a dating sim character who becomes self-aware and nearly loses her mind, then goes on a psychopathic rampage trying to win the player's love.

She shares a lot of traits with Lortel, but expresses them differently and differently emphasizes her strengths.
Vessel Type & General ideas: Token: Runecaster. She'll write her way into your heart, after all : ) I want her to reckon ONCE AGAIN with powers she doesn't understand, but let her master them, this time, and see what it's like to imbue her writing with real power.

Brief Info: You know the Dark Knight quests people bring up occasionally as an example of how FFXIV has good writing? Fray is from that. He is your friendly neighbourhood job quest NPC who definitely has nothing wrong with him whatsoever don't even worry about it, he's so normal.

Depending on the amount of let's say malleability I'm allowed to have with him, Fray has a little bit of an identity blur going on; is he a dead man who imprinted on his job stone? Yes. Are they also a reflection of the WoL whose head they ended up in and ended up being a mirror for? Yes. Can Fray be a weird reflection of the person they're talking to if he's not thinking of himself as 'Fray, who was a real guy who died'? Maybe.

To prevent potential headaches, Fray would have generic WoL memories for expacs (so probably meteor) and would be kind of broad-brush about it. He was technically there but he wasn't driving the car, he sure will have Things To Say about mentally riding shotgun though if it ever comes up.

Vessel Type & General ideas:
Token of some kind most likely given the [waves hand expansively] everything. Shadowbinder seems like the most obvious pick honestly, but it might be fun to do something a bit more healy as a nod to Fray's conjury...

Alternatively, an Offering of some kind could be fun just because Fray has been the Go Apeshit Button in the WoL's head for [mumble mumble] years and giving them a more fucked up monstery form could be interesting to add to the identity jumble hahah

Given this game has some strong themes about erosion of identity and memory, I think it'd be fun to play with how much of Fray-the-actual-real-person and Fray-the-positive-affirmation-demon kind of exists in the entity that Fray is at any given time, especially with the differences between english and other translations (where he was definitely like, there. as a corpse. until they buried him, anyway). Does the starting line of DRK 80's conclusion quest also apply to Fray and his technical dual identities? I'd love to find out!

Dan Heng is a quiet, mysterious young man who, at first glance, may come off as cold and distant. He has done his best to cultivate a wall around his heart, never getting too close to others or letting people in, and certainly never discussing his past - at least for a time. Things have changed, but his overall outward demeanor is still more of less the same, and while he is much more accepting of friendships and closeness than he once was, Dan Heng is still very much a calm and cool figure, aloof by nature, and even a bit awkward in social situations. This is due to the fact that he has never really had proper socialization, never had the time or opportunity to learn how to be himself, and how to connect with others.

There can be no denying, however, that he is a very unique young man. As a Scion of the aeon Long, Dan Heng is descended from dragons, and carries on a draconic bloodline, as is evidenced by his majestic horns, and his spectral tail. Not only is he a Vidyadhara, he also carries the memories and abilities of a High Elder, the Imbibitor Lunae, which has supplied him with a vast amount of destructive power. He is also an archivist who spends a good amount of time reading, and organizing the Astral Express's data banks, often losing sleep over his work, and living a rather minimalistic existence.

Brief Info: Adrian is from a sword & sorcery setting with a few healthy dollops of magitech. He's an ex-sorcerer prodigy, top of his class at magic school, fast tracked to be a sorcerer hand to the emperor until an accident with an Eldritch Thing killed one of his classmates and cursed him. He got kicked out of school for everyone's safety and had his magic nerfed, which he resents very much. Lately he's a private instructor of swordsmanship for kids, which also isn't great... he wanted to be a Cool Sorcerer... The cursemark he got in the accident and the big metal cuff he has to wear that nerfs his magic led to people treating him like a contagious oddity, so he has like, no friends.

Broadly he's very tired and a little sad about how his life turned out. He's polite and reserved mostly because he doesn't want to be heckled about his weird curse and his government-imposed magic nerf, but really he is just sooo tired...
Vessel Type & General ideas: Token, so he can be a sorcerer again-!! I haven't picked a type. Anything would be exciting, he has issues (tm) about his nerf... And it would be cool to Make Friends.

Brief Info: Emory is a tormented Victorian orphan (except not, he's from steampunk-y Mars) who is the only surviving member of his family, who were variously tragically killed. He grew up as a tolerated stepchild to a family that took care of him solely to make a grab for his inheritance, so he did the only thing that made sense and ran away to join a gang about it. Now he does heists, but mostly the bookkeeping part, and recently learned his disappeared uncle has been a ghost for several decades, which has been super awkward. He has no idea how he's not dead yet and neither does anyone else. wahoo!!
Vessel Type & General ideas: Token yet again... perhaps a Runecaster. In general, it would be swell if he could learn some confidence and have some genuine connections.

He's unfortunately been roped into some amateur investigative work lately, because old friends keep disappearing and strangers keep showing up acting like they know things. Sucks! He wants a vacation, actually.

Brief Info: His favorite Sleep Token song would 1000% be Dark Signs. Anyways, here we have a brooding and intimidating to look at dark mage and right hand of the a future Empress. He takes everything in life way too seriously, but then, it's kind of his job and justifiable. If he is being a jerk, it is because he expects you to do better. If he is glaring at you from across the room, don't worry, that's just his face - it means he is curious about you, and his attention is not inherently malicious. By the time someone learns that he does have ill intentions, it is already too late and they probably deserved it.

He is the gruff dad friend of the group, but not in a cuddly way - more in the jump scare you by appearing behind you and asking why you aren't using your time more wisely sort of way. He does have a sensitive side that hardly anyone will see. Hubert is extremely focused and devoted to Edelgard, and her future, and the wellbeing of their empire, and absolutely nothing in this world will cause him to deviate from that. He matured quickly and hasn't wasted time with fun and frivolity for over a decade. Hubert exists to be the informant and spymaster of his empire, and also, the blade in the shadow to do whatever must be done to see Edelgard succeed, so that her reputation can remain as clean and pure and inspiring as possible. He lives to serve, but is more a proactive shadow and hardly a mindless pet. If he did not deem her worthy of his service, he would not be as he is.

I love the idea of bringing him to a place where he is removed from the war of their nations, and political intrigue and turmoil, and must act for himself and any new connections or alliances he might form, because he has never been in a situation to define himself outside of his place in his canon's time and his devoted service to Edelgard. The concepts of this game would also be very interesting considering his areas of expertise and penchant for intellectual brooding.

He looks scary and moody but once he gets to know someone he is very protective and devoted, and he is always polite, if a bit sharp. I love the "ew what a dick" to allies/friends pipeline, as well as the "when I first met you I was considering if it would be a challenge to kill you" to "the greatest challenge was confessing I am in love with you" canonical bit of CR, so I hope for enabling. c:

Vessel Type & General ideas: For Token, Shadowbinder makes the most sense, considering his canon role and powers. To stretch in a different direction, venomous drake would also be very fascinating and fun and out of his comfort zone.

He struggles with the idea of worship because in his view, the ones people worship are, one way or another, unworthy - either because they are as flawed as everyone else or have failed to protect those who worship them. So I would enjoy watching him grind his teeth figuring out how to deal with all the everything, while coming to terms with how lost and out of place he would feel, and desperate for purpose and belonging.

Reading this and going 👀👀👀👀 I’m very canonblind to fire emblem but I love what I’m hearing here. Duty! A chance to self define! We love it. Both of my detective boys- especially Cooper- have a knack for digging into people and bringing out that hidden sensitive side. They’re psychic and tend to see through people but beyond that they have pretty polarizing personalities that bring out extremes in the people they meet.

Cooper (former FBI agent) especially has a lot to say about Duty and such. Though his approach is more chaotic, as he abandoned the orders of his bosses to dedicate himself to saving a teenager’s life. To him that is his duty more than his orders. I think this could be very fun CR.

My other detective is Harrier Du Bois, and I think they’d clash more on the grounds of Hubert not being impressed with what looks like a living disaster. Either could be fun.

Introducing the disney princess of HSR!! He is one of the seven arbiter generals of the Xianzhou Alliance. Jing Yuan is in charge of the Xianzhou Luofu and holds the title “The Divine Foresight”. He also commands “Lightning Lord”, the spirit that is granted to the Luofu’s general by Lan, the aeon (god-like being) that the Xianzhou Alliance follows. As a long-life species, Jing Yuan has lived for over 700 years, but physically appears to be in his late 20’s to early 30’s. While he is also known as “The dozing general” due to his perceived laziness, Jing Yuan has held his position, and survived (who would have thought you can avoid assassination attempts by just not showing up to work?), as general for centuries, exceeding many of his peers and owing testament to his abilities on the battlefield and as a strategist. He is also very well regarded by most, having brought peace during his time as general. His pictures are sold as hot commodities among the natives, some even falsely believe them to ward off evil spirits. However, despite his laidback and friendly persona, when it comes to any threats against the Luofu or his friends, Jing Yuan would readily stand up to his enemies or even charge into battle on his own.

Vessel Type & General ideas:

I am currently considering beastkin for him due to his affinity towards animals, particularly felines (lions) and birds (birds). Although I think plant manipulation would be somewhat ironic and could be horrific due to its association with The Abundance (Yaoshi) and implication of mara. And oh boy, that could be fun.

I am also considering lightweaver because he is BRIGHTER THAN THE SUN, but i won’t lie, my thought process for it has not exceeded further than that at this moment. Teehee.

Brief Info: An individual who set out on a journey to eliminate the threat of Stellaron, the Cancer of All Worlds, across the universe. He travels with his new-found family, the Astral Express Crew, who quickly accepted him into their group with open minds and hearts. The crew are explorers of the unknown across the galaxy called the Nameless, and he decided to fully adapt to their lifestyle. He's just as quick to accept it, so he's rather excitable to display his feat for trailblazing: to follow the star rail that linked worlds together in the sea of stars. The local helpful and cheerful protagonist at your service. Watch out for your trash cans because he's raiding every one of them. People also have to watch him constantly, otherwise he'll get himself into all sorts of trouble instantly. Protagonists, man. They breathe and there's a problem nearby already. It's not always his fault!

Vessel Type & General ideas: Very interested in Artificer! Caelus is an all-rounder and has a strong curiosity, so the idea of him tinkering with machines and potential new lifeforms would be a treat for him especially since he has to gather his own materials. The local trash panda thrives on this. He's actually already doing both in canon too, has experience with taking care of Ruan Mei's creations and babysitting a lot of random critters. And he's been taught how to fix up machines multiple times (nice puzzles).
