Welcome to Somnia's third ATP & EMP Meme! This is the place to be if you're interested in the game's setting, if you're unsure about who you'd like to bring or if you just want to check out the vibes. Remember that the EMP is open to all, and you don't need an invite to participate in the slightest!

Brief Info: The eldest of ten siblings. A perfect amalgamate of human and cursed spirit, he spent 150 years in a suspended state in the equivalent of a sorcerer's closet before he was incarnated into a living body, just in time for war between the worlds. Though he's lost most of his precious siblings through various events and circumstances, he still dedicates his life and existence to the continued well-being of the one left to him: one Itadori Yuji.

To call Choso a creature comprised of guilt would be an understatement. It's like flavouring. Umami. Suffering umami.

Vessel Type & General ideas: A bloodwright, to follow up on his greatest strength, which happens to be the manipulation of his own blood in every way he can conceive. Though the makeup of his body means he cannot bleed out under normal circumstances, if he is subject to the rules imposed by Sleep, I find it would be interesting for him to discover these new limits on an existence he has come to be so familiar with.

Also, I love to put him through the wringer in every way I can. His suffering is my joy. Help me make him suffer.

Name: Lucky Cyan
Canon: To Be Hero X
Brief Info: Cyan is from a world where the power of people's faith in you and what you're capable of can make you into a superhero. I don't want wanna spoil too much about it since the first season only finished airing in mid-September, but it's the first anime series that's gotten my interest in a very long time so highly recommending it.

Anyway, without going into too much detail, Cyan was the only survivor of a devastating plane crash as a little girl. She was sent to an orphanage where she kind of sort of ended up becoming the central figure of a cult due to everyone believing in her extraordinary luck and ability to make miracles happen.

She also happens to be an amazing songwriter and singer, which in the present day the series takes place in has her as an international music sensation with a huge fanbase. As a superhero, her power is based on luck skills (so she mostly buffs herself) and has a guitar that transforms into a battle bow for her when needed.

And yes, she's basically Hatsune Miku, there's no way that her color scheme and superstar music status is a coincidence rather than a tribute, lol.

She's a typical nice and strong-willed girl, and very much about the power of friendship. She's committed to the truth and the value of a person's integrity and is always there to support those in need. She would be a very good cheerleader for most people in the game, I think. Also, we need more ladies and musicians, so why not.

Vessel Type & General ideas:
Not sure, actually. I am leaning towards an offering since Aventurine is a Token, and Merrow makes sense because of her voice, but not sure if I could be somehow more clever with Leshy (I have no idea) since her symbol is the four leaf clover.

This is really tentative since I've been failing spectacularly this month (I apologize to everyone I owe tags to,) but if I get my act together she seems like she could be very fun here. I'll probably take her from the current timeline where she's 21, but the way they do the episodes she has enough background where I could take her when she's somewhere around 15/16 onward so I guess she could also potentially join the teens (or just be big sister to them.)

Monika is an intelligent, poised, but otherwise normal teenage girl! She's the president of the Literature Club at her school and she loves poetry! She's not the best with conflict and is kind of a perfectionist. She's also learning to play piano, yay!



DDLC SPOILERS:
Monika is from a virtual machine and knows she is a video game character. She's conscious and human even though she's an AI, and this caused... A lot of problems. She is desperate for interaction with real people and, having done a lot of terrible things she now realizes were terrible, she's going to be especially off balance but hopefully in a constructive way! Probably!
Vessel Type & General ideas: I thiiiiink runecaster, because of its connection to writing. I'm sure the revelation of truths too horrific to survive untouched will be totally fine to potentially give to Monika. Everything will be totally fine forever. And she's used to it, right?

Living in a world in a state of constant apocalypse where the population is being systematically destroyed year after year, Maelle's parents died when she was very small. She was passed around to various families and sent back to the orphanage multiple times for being a Difficult Child. Until she was taken in by her dear dadbrother, Gustave.

Gustave is 32 and doomed to die next year along with every other person that age in the city, he'll be spending his last year alive on an Expedition to the continent, which most of the city believes to be a glorified suicide mission. Despite being far younger at 16 Maelle is ready to sacrifice her life to escape the city and see the fractured world beyond the sea.

To kill the big giant paintress who paints the death number every year.

There’s a variety of canon points I could pull from. Girl, help! I’m spoiled for choice.

Vessel Type & General ideas:

Maelle is a young woman haunted by death and is something of a walking nuclear bomb with her insane fire damage output. She’s been through hell and I’d her to go apeshit.

I’m biased towards Offerings because I love monsters so much but Tokens could be very fun.

Angel and Wraith could play well with her most painful traumas. Maelle becomes consumed with revenge, swearing to murder the man who killed her brotherdad. And there’s so many cool relevant design notifs I could borrow here from the incredible creature design in game.

If I do go Token I wouldn’t just want to give her pyromancy back. I'd make her an Illusionist, Necromancer, or Runecaster.

Brief Info: Makoto was an unfortunate participant of a killing game orchestrated by someone he thought was a friend, that got most of his other classmates killed. While he finally escaped along with the rest of the survivors, he has come out traumatized, not that he shows it to people. Forced to take on the mantle of one of the last symbols of hope in their broken world, Makoto tends to hide his negative feelings, even from his friends. Instead, he tends to show his positive ones, which luckily for him, is a lot of his personality.

Makoto is a truly kind and polite person, trying to show compassion to even the most terrible people. Friendly and approachable, Makoto tends to view himself poorly, seeing himself as ordinary in a world of extraordinary people, but sees others in a more flattering light. Despite his responsibilities as the Ultimate Hope and the state of the world he was in, he is a pacifist that tries to see the best in people.

Honestly the poor guy has no idea what he's doing but he's doing it well.

Vessel Type & General ideas: I know he's being an Offering, that's the extent of my knowledge LOL! Honestly, I'm tempted to just go random since one of my favorite things about monster games is designing monsters to fit him, not the other way around. But if I had to choose, I would be torn between Seraph, Lycan and Leshy since I think those monsters fit him well. But also I love the idea of a swarmling jumping spider or a octopus or cuttlefish merrow (I've seen some art of Makoto as a mermaid but with tentacles instead of a fish bottom half). ...Yeah, I'm going to ask the mods.

Makoto is going to be very anxious about returning back home since he left his friends behind and with such a mess too. But even so, he will try to adjust and get along with people while he's here.

While I'm canonblind as hell on Dangit Roombas (still....yeah...), Megumi has a critical weak point for Good People, so Makoto sounds like exactly the kind of person he'd immediately feel compelled to watch out for even while he's facepalming at him.

Canon: Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
Brief Info: Julian is a doctor in Starfleet in the post-scarcity idealistic space future, and chief medical officer of Deep Space Nine. Due to its position near a wormhole to another galactic quadrant, the space station is at the crossroads of lots of conflict and a brewing war that is causing Julian to Hawkeye Pierce it up and doctor during wartime more and more.

While his idealism has been fraying, he's generally glib but positive, adventurous (with a penchant for spycraft and historic battles in the holodeck), sometimes idealistic to the point of naivete, empathetic, and has a deep commitment to his patients. However, he can also be extremely arrogant due his intelligence and brilliance at medicine, accidentally condescending, and overly talkative.

He's also a bit neurotic because he was born developmentally delayed and his parents got him illegally genetically engineered to be smarter, faster, stronger - even taller. This is illegal in the Federation, in part because Genetic Augments have started genocidal wars in the past. The fact they wanted to change him in every way because he didn't measure up in their eyes means he has a lot of insecurities and feels he has a shameful secret of being an unnatural freak.

Vessel Type & General ideas: I love the idea of Julian trying to be a doctor in a horror game with eldritch health effects and barely any supplies or fancy Starfleet equipment. He'd definitely try to keep others on their feet as best as he can and even if he can be...a lot sometimes, it's easy to get in people's good graces when you doctor them up when they need it.

I'd also like the play with the idea of the bodily changes feeding into his sense of alienation and unnatural-ness, and trying to feel human despite it. I'm leaning towards Bloodwright or Seraph, due to having abilities that let them heal others.

To complicate things, I'd probably take him from his time in a Dominion (the series' bad guys) internment camp, where he was a prisoner of war. At first he'd suspect the game is some kind of simulation to interrogate him.

Name: Abaddon | stabaddon
Canon: Haunted Hotel
Brief Info: Abaddon, the Cobra King, King of Shrimp, High Prince of the Black Realm, is an ancient demon trapped in the body of a little boy from the 1700s. When he was 10,000 he tried to possess the child and the child's priest father trapped him in his current body. Living to the present day, he was taken in by a family called the Freelings, who are trying to make a living from a haunted hotel, the Undervale, that was built in the area the little boy lived in over time. An event in his canon also caused him to experience a time loop for considerably more time than his original 10,200ish years.

While Abaddon is a destructive handful - violent, grandiose, dramatic, and chaotic - he's come to genuinely care for the Freelings; especially the youngest child Esther, who considers Abaddon her best friend. He frequently joins in their escapades, both supernatural and mundane. (Whether or not he's helpful or detrimental when he does is generally 50/50.)

Despite his chaotic nature, he's capable of loyalties and alliances (he once had an alliance with a woodland creature to fight Mothman), accustomed to wielding infernal power, and generally un-phased by The Horrors. (Although he'd need help reaching high cabinets.)

Vessel Type & General ideas: No clue what Vessel type yet. Daemon maybe to lean into his demon thing? Drake because breathing fire and dangling on surfaces is definitely in his wheelhouse? One of the more magic-ey ones so he can teach people to turn someone's own shadow against them? Whatever he goes with he'll thrive on getting dark powers back again.

But even though he can be fairly capable (especially when given infernal power), he'll need help with things due to his size. And while he'd be good at weathering some of the horror of the setting because he's from hell, the more he grows fond of others, the more any of their suffering will bother him.

He's used to the souls of the damned being punished, instead of random people who still have the capacity to earn a fate other than hell.

Brief Info: ok i have no idea if i can handle a second but it's been rattling around in my brain so: this is helga and she's a witch. more precisely, she's a descendant of one of the 17 origin witches (powerful, beautiful, feared, womens' wrongs given physical form) and carries the title of the dauntless witch.

unfortunately, helga is down on her luck, usually on the run, loveless, and absolute dogshit in battle despite being made of swords. all of her immense ancestral power is funneled into keeping a dusty sword in check — namely, because said sword has the power to end the world if unsheathed. after having her family killed and being framed for murder by a secret society of assassins in an effort to claim the demon sword, she's come under the protection of the order of magical resonance. she now hangs out with the world's most intimidating necromancer.

as for plans... learning to live her life without her sword. being worried about her sword. having complicated feelings... for her sword. getting a boyfriend? girlfriend?? also her first kiss was rigged and she wants a do over!!!

Vessel Type & General ideas: leaning mostly towards valkyrie but not totally committed yet. since she's a mage archetype and i already have another token/mage it'd be fun to explore her getting to have powers more geared towards wilding out. like she deserves.

Brief Info: Soo Won is the main antagonist of the series. He's a charismatic young ruler who murdered and overthrew the king in order to keep his kingdom from falling apart. There is very little he won't do for his people, even challenge the gods. He portrays himself as a rabbit, hiding his ruthless cunning behind a genuine curiosity and love of people so others will underestimate him and not see the hawk he truly is until he strikes.

Vessel Type & General ideas:I already have an offering with Sirius so I think it would be fun to go with token for my second character. For spoiler reasons Bloodwright would be perfect for him. Illusionist would suit him too but a fun part of Soo Won's character is his humble merchant act. I think Illusionist would hint at his hidden cunning too easily.

Canon: The Locked Tomb series
Brief Info: Camilla is a cavalier, the sworn protector and ‘other half’ of a necromancer. Not just that: she’s the Cavalier Primary of the Sixth House, avowed to the youngest ever Warden of the Library (as the Sixth, the House of academia and investigatory experimentation — “truth over solace in lies” - is also known)…who’s also been her best friend and closest confidante since both of them were about able to talk. She plays rhe Watson to Palamedes’ Holmes, often remembering the stray tools, strategic minutiae and to make him eat, but as he points out several times, Cam is equally brilliant. She defers, but we see her understanding, checking and enacting the setup for Pal’s necromantic theorems despite not being an adept, and learning new skills incredibly quickly. She’s just as committed to her role as a fighter, preferring dual curved blades, but capable with rapier and dagger and approaching duels strategically. She can be very stoic and somewhat taciturn. Despite that, even with others it’s clear she cares very much — sometimes a little too much — about her people and about justice, and can be unexpectedly warm or affected. Cam and Pal can tell what the other is thinking without speaking, often — though she likes to tease him - and are physically comfortable.
Which is a problem, because

[spoilers for books past Gideon The Ninth]

Palamedes is dead. Kinda. His soul is still hanging out- thanks necromancy, and Camilla having painstakingly reconstructed enough of his skull from shards for it to attach to; followed by a procedure that allowed him to share her body and alternate who was “out”. For the last six months or so, that’s been her existence: from a life never having been without him to not being physically able to see or speak to the person she loves most. There are brief moments of overlap possible, but they exert a tremendous toll — they’re killing then both, even though they feel like sheer emotional relief.

At the point I’m pulling her from, Camilla — critically injured — has agreed (enthusiastically, in a scene that reads somewhat like wedding vows) to undertake a process with Palamedes that will essentially merge their souls into one new being, setting herself on fire and literally rising from the ashes: a total iconoclasm of the processes we’ve seen prior that often involve necromancers gaining power by killing and absorbing/consuming the souls of their cavaliers.

Only, she’d end up here - and, unless a Palamedes shows up real fast — alone…

Vessel Type & General ideas:
So, I haven’t been seriously contemplating the look and thematic elements here at all…

As you can probably figure out if you clicked there, Seraph immediately called to me. The inability to lie, or being affected by lies fits well with The Sixth being devoted to truth, and she’s extremely justice oriented, even without Palamedes — she’s implied to have hunted down a domestic abuser and absolutely holds grudges, while also having a very strong moral compass.

The idea of her having a mission that she’s forgotten when in the dreamscape breaks my heart a little, given her devotion and the failure to finish her last act. Grief and devotion and how to exert agency within that is definitely a theme I’ll be playing with (and how better to be weird about agency than with angels…) .

I’m definitely picturing one manifestation being a pillar of fire à la certain Biblical texts. Jury’s out on if more firmly developed wings would have feathers with knife-edges or as I thought when reading the ashes idea, charred bone dust or bone pieces(bc of spoiler) and have her wielding a sword or knife/knives, archangel style.

I definitely had more thoughts here?? But damn, this is long.

Anyway, still getting feet under me at a new job but I would LOVE to get Cam in here — if not this app cycle then soon and definitely plan to be around the TDM. Have a LOT of ideas and I feel like the more I read the more I go ‘ooh ooh or!’

Brief Info: Hong Lu is from a dystopian city where Capitalism and Supernatural Horrors hold hands and make everyone suffer. Anyways he's working as what amounts to a mercenary for the titular Limbus Company with eleven other weirdos based on real-world literature, designated as Sinner No. 6 (if any of you read Dream of the Red Chamber I commend you).

He's the most cheerful of the bunch. Sheltered and privileged as all hell, on first impressions he seems spoiled sweet or ditzy. The worst part is he knows this and can play it up for fun while still being a naive moron at times. He's sincere and ready to be understanding though. Even as he deals with horrors and life-threatening danger on the near-daily, he handles them 99% of the time with a smile and he's a weirdo for it.

The fact he has managed to survive to this point despite treachery everywhere, and he isn't as oblivious to the evils in various proximities around him as he wants others to believe (he makes casual comments about his older siblings being the most likely to kill him), does mean something is probably not quite right with him. Probably trauma.

I'm taking him from the later part of Canto 8: The Surrendered Witnessing, which is his focus chapter. Not from the very end of it, but it gives him stuff to Think about, like personal agency.

Vessel Type & General ideas: Drake was what I played around with last TDM because it's kind of canon (he even got a second dragon-based gacha thing in the meantime, wow), but Aquamancer is also very on theme for him.

Brief Info: unlike most of the guys you've probably seen around, retsarra is a resident of solution 9, a futuristic city from another dimension that transplanted itself on top of a portion of the primary world in the game. it's a long story! the important thing here is that solution 9 is a place that uses souls as its primary commodity through the invention of regulators, a fancy little device you put on your head that can revive your body if you die — as long as you have extra souls in the bank. death exists only as an inconvenience, and those who die for good are erased from the collective memory so that nobody has to feel sad about it.

the clear evolution of this system is, of course, professional wrestling.

there's a twist: contestants in the arcadion fuse instead with the souls of dangerous monsters to create epic fursonas that fight to the death, because they'll just come back anyway. retsarra is one of these fighters, the champion of the cruiserweight division under the name howling blade, who uses the soul of the legendary fenrir to become... some type of gundam situation. while he has a lot of complicated feelings about living in a soul-fueled dystopia and eschews the use of his regulator outside of fights, he loves furry deathmatch wrestling too much to give up on the ring because the only time he truly feels alive is when he's fighting. you know, the usual stuff. he's got a whole themesong about it

he's also a bit oblivious and recently got dumped by his girlfriend, but it's okay. they'll make up next patch. probably?

Vessel Type & General ideas: while there is a really obvious offering choice given his goofy wolf transformation shit, i was instead thinking of doing kimera and using aspects of his savage design as inspiration; that form is technically from a fanwork in-universe so anything derived from it will be a Fun and Exciting (tm) twist compared to what he's used to. do you have to feed your dog arm a separate bowl of kibble every night? taking opinions now

Lives with monsters and ghosts and generally goes on little adventures with them when she's not throwing parties or answering fanmail. Gets into quite a bit of danger for her age, but always tries to keep a positive outlook on it since she already gets along so well with the macabre. Does she have parents? We just don't know.

Brief Info: Former scrappy undercity orphan struggling to live peacefully with her little sister and adoptive father. Then a lot of very bad shit happened. Now, she's much older, more hardened, yet still every bit as soft at heart as she used to be, no matter how much she denies it. She can't stop caring. And now, she's cleaned up, bunked up with her rich girlfriend, and freshly nursing new traumas and regrets. But she's okay. She's... she's okay.

Brief Info: Cynical, sarcastic, deadpan, and sardonic, Wednesday is a morbid and headstrong teenager. She's extremely blunt, doesn't waste time with socializing very often, can be cruel, and is excessively independent. She's got the capacity to care about people but it's in her own very selfish and fucked up way. Has a tendency to become obsessed with something and throw herself into it with disregard for how it might hurt her or anyone else in her path.
Vessel Type & General ideas: I am not entirely sure, but Token illusionist sems like it'd probably be decent for her and a lot of fun to play with. Though I do have a weakness for blood magic and bloodwright sounds fun too. I'm bad at decision making.
But the idea of having to actually seek out help more often is very appealing. She's arrogant and getting put through so much where she's got 0 control over the situation could be interesting to explore.

Brief Info: Kind person who has been forced to hide the truth of what she is (part demon) from her only friends and the world. She's got a great facade of being confident, charismatic, cheerful, and hardworking going on while inside she's slowly falling apart under the weight of all the responsibilities put on her. Puts everyone (and the world) first while hiding any sort of vulnerabilities behind a wall of perfectionism.

Because it's funny and would be horrible. Being what she hates even MORE obvious on the outside as well as potentially delving into making pacts and things demons do that she hates? that'd be interesting to dig into.

Brief Info: do you ever meet a guy who is unfortunately both bastard and baby? that's luka. genetically engineered (arguably poorly) and groomed to be an idol in a sing-off to the death, he won! ... and then competed again! he's Very Good at performing and takes genuine joy not only in winning but in manipulating the pain of his competitors to win. winning is great! fun stuff! otoh, he's crap at being a sentient independent thinking being, excruciatingly naive, and capable of incredible if seriously clumsy care for others. he contains multitudes, and most of them suck. i am not doing a good job advertising this character.

Vessel Type & General Ideas: i'm still mulling over it, but i'm leaning towards offering/hellhound-flavored daemon, although i've also considered Just Lycan or seraph because he would be a very bad not-liar. i've considered illusionist token for him as well, but i think offering is more interesting for this dummy, especially an offering with a strong and central social/emotional component.

luka is used to having his entire life dictated. he has no idea how to function under even the illusion of freedom. it's literally never occurred to him to think about it. so being confronted with being a part of something other than The Thing He's Been Told To Do Forever, no longer being isolated all the time, and having to rely on others who don't have a vested financial interest in him staying alive would be enough of a mindfuck on its own, let alone Everything Else Going On here. i am also still figuring out how his debilitating genetic conditions will be managed when he's not constantly surrounded by aliens (DON'T UNETHICALLY GENGINEER KPOP CHILDREN). suffice it to say he is gonna be behind the curve for a minute. so tl;dr other than being very aware he's gonna have a weird and rocky start, i really just want his terrible personality to take its course.

...Silco was a seperatist revolutionary until things went bad and Vander tried to kill him. After that, he became the undercity's foremost chem-baron, selling Shimmer throughout Zaun and ruling the underworld with casual brutality. After Vander's apparent death (which Silco was responsible for, naturally), he took in Jinx, who became his adopted daughter. Despite his very shady tactics, Silco remained dedicated to the idea of Zaun's independence, which ultimately played a part in his downfall. Well, that and Jinx's instability, but hey, who's keeping score? That's his precious daughter you're talking about.

Vessel Type & General ideas: Offering, I think, either Wraith or Merrow. Silco already looks like a weird fucked up little man, why not lean into it? Without Zaun, a good portion of his driving force and all of his power is gone, but with Jinx around he'd have some motivation - and if nothing else, Silco's good at surviving. He'd want to build a power base for himself, and he has no compunctions about doing so via lying, stealing, and murder. :D

Brief Info: Lawful good rich girl police officer who Believes In The System experiences some trauma, gets her morality dragged through the mud, and becomes the figurehead of an alarmingly fascist city-state in the name of vengeance. Caitlyn is a woman who set out to break the cycle of violence between warring city-states, until the cycle broke her. Now, she's killing that idealist part of herself and resorting to extreme measures to keep the peace, all while acting as the puppet of someone using her pain to further their own agendas.

Sometimes you take a breakup really, really hard.

I'm very tentative, but leaning toward playing her during 2.4/2.5, at the peak of her face heel turn. I can see a lot of other arcane peeps here so if the canon point causes some friction or discomfort I'm totally happy to reconsider!

Vessel Type & General ideas: Was hard to find something that was a slam dunk, but I think seraph is fairly fitting? I feel like it appeals to her strong sense of justice and her tendency to lose her footing when things don't go according to plan. Happy to take suggestions tho!

I'm a huge fan of morally rigid characters enduring crises of faith and having to dramatically reshape their world view, so the more I get to do of that... the happier I am. In general, my hope would be to play out a bit more of that inner conflict and the need for control that puts her at odds with others. Tl;dr I ❤️ love ❤️ mess ❤️

Brief Info: Once upon a time, a Normal Guy like us who could have also been RPing and watching anime is swept into an the world of his favorite SCP-styled wiki. There he has to work a 9-5 where he risks his life going in and out of ghost stories, and he's never having a good time. Still, he's so good at his job that he gets promoted rather quickly, and it's not because he's talented—it's because he's read the entire wiki and already has an answer sheet to every story.

I bring you, Kim Soleum, everybody's favorite and most cowardly control freak. He started going crazy in chapter 8 and never really stopped.




Aside from going crazy, Soleum is a pretty basic and normal guy who would claim that he doesn't have much going for him, but there are others who would say differently! Because of his need to not become too tangled up in and attached to this world, Soleum comes off secretive and normally lies about facts regarding himself. The way he sees it, he can't exactly tell the truth about where he came from, and where his home really is. Luckily, being able to separate himself from this world helps Soleum continue with his task to get the hell out of SCPWiki-land without having any feelings about the people he'll leave behind.

Anyway, he tries to keep up a brave facade with people to avoid them finding out that he's literally a coward, he's scared of scary stuff. He's going to go ... crazy! Because fear works as such a great motivator for him, but he'd lose the main advantage he had in the first place, I think this game might be a fun fit for him!

Also Kylar, that guy, has put me in this situation to post him on the EMP... he Tempted me.

Vessel Type & General ideas: It's a tie between Kimera and Shadowbinder, for Kimera, it would fit him due to [SPOILER ALERT] Soleum's canon body being an amalgamation of supernatural beings used to summon him to this world. So basically he's god in a suit. In game, it would take inspiration from this critter right here. Eastern dragon/deer/many eyes/etc entity. Shadowbinder also goes hand in hand with him being God in a Suit because he's mostly a shadow monster with antlers, a glowing chest cavity and talks with... shadow words because he doesn't know where his mouth, tongue or vocal chords are in said suit. You can see where I'm Torn.

Brief Info: Cheng Xiaoshi is a twenty-one year old man who owns and runs a small photography shop with two of his friends called, "Time Photo Studio." While they put up a front as a legitimate photography business on the outside, they have a side hustle where they can help clients by diving into photos and observing the past surrounding that photo. Cheng Xiaoshi has the ability to go back in time by using a photo, possessing the body of the photographer. And his best friend Lu Guang has the ability to observe the photos within a twelve hour span. Together, they take on cases and fulfil the customer's wishes.

Cheng Xiaoshi is a laidback, reckless type of person who is much too empathetic for his own good. He cares about helping people, even if it might be risky to do so. He's headstrong, has a short attention span and is bratty/childish sometimes but at the end of the day he is very clever, kind-hearted and genuine. He's also very sensitive (he WILL cry) and has some issues with abandonment and being alone. Which makes him very protective and a little clingy over his two best friends. He's a basketball jock and is a bit of an idiot and boyfailure too but he can be cool!!

Vessel Type & General ideas:

Definitely leaning towards making him an offering with a couple of choices:

📸 Lycan - He's often compared to a being a dog type so this might suit him. Cheng Xiaoshi is already very reckless so why not make it harder to deal with restraint!
📸 Drake - I like the idea that they are instinctively protective and territorial which would be fun to mix with Cheng Xiaoshi's tendency to hate abandonment and be clingy.

📸 I'm very new to playing this character so I'm just happy to be able to try it out and see what kind of cr I can get to stick for him! I think he would vibe well with all sorts of cr since he's fairly extroverted and social.
📸 Just very interested in exploring pushing some of his boundaries and how he deals with this setting.

Canon: My Hero Academia

Brief Info: Izuku a the sixteen (almost seventeen) year old student at U.A High School who is learning and training to be the best hero in the world. In a world where almost everyone has some sort of superpower called a "quirk," Izuku is one that was born quirkless and has struggled all his life to prove that he can be a hero too. He's later given the power of his mentor, has a powerful inherited quirk, and is rising up to be one of the best heroes the world has ever seen.

He is often seen as a mumbling nerd with a sweet disposition. He's agreeable, kind-hearted and awkward. A giant nerd that will mutter your ear off about his likes and passions if you lend him an ear. Underneath is a boy who has always dealt with being weaker than everyone else and always having to catch up faster. He's extremely determined to prove himself, has always worked on his confidence and strength and is extremely giving, smart, and true. He also happens to be extremely crazy when anyone is in danger, going to insane length to save people even if he busts up his own body. Don't let the sweet smile always fool you, he's also insane.

I'm torn between both offering and token so here are a few options I'm thinking about for Izuku:

🥦 Seraph - Might just be fun to make Izuku go full biblically accurate angel. The BIG JUSTICE.
🥦 Satyr - More commonly, Izuku is often depicted as a headstrong goat and has a ram as a spirit animal. So this one would make sense as he’s naturally just like one.

🥦 Lightweaver - He is often Good/Light aspected so this would probably suit him well to be able to manipulate light. It would also be interesting to play with overusing his power and getting sick for it. I think it's a nice aesthetic for him too.
🥦 Runecaster - Izuku is often using his own body to his own detriment to win fights and save people so the fact that they draw on their own bodies intrigues me. This seems like a pretty interesting mage vibe that I like for Izuku too. He would be obsessed with learning all the runes perfectly.

🥦 No real big plans but just happy to explore this setting with Izuku and making cr!

Levi: a tired veteran nearing the middle age who would want nothing more than just sit down and drink his tea in peace! He comes from world where humanity has been driven off to live inside cramped walls because there's giant naked cannibal people outside. Levi here is descendant of ancient warrior clan, which is why he's great at killing said giant naked people. Idk. He's violent, always grumpy and eloquent like a brick wall.

Pieck: one of the said giant naked cannibals! But not really. Pieck is an ex-child soldier who's has an ability to turn uncanny looking Titan. She's slowly, but surely, nearing the end of her term and life. She's very chill and kind, but doesn't take bs from anyone. I swear she's already pulling a trigger at you.

Vessel Type & General ideas: I'm not married to any specific idea yet. But I do think that since Levi is somewhat immune to the giant naked people juice, it would be interesting to have him be an offering. Maybe a daemon or valkyrie (although not doing well in underground & cramped spaces has me laughing). And likewise I was thinking the opposite for Pieck and make her a token!

Brief Info: In a world where Witches are viewed as the most dangerous beings, Guideau is an unknown being of unknown origins, described as the "natural enemy" of witches. That is, until she was cursed to reside in the body of the witch who cursed her. Something she is extremely pissed about. Like 90% of her energy is spent on hunting witches and thoughts of revenge. Very much the 'cat thinks of nothing but murder' meme. She's joined up with a secret magical order to help her track down the witch who cursed her in exchange for her help with their cases.

She's foul tempered, foul mouthed and prefers to be eating or sleeping when she's not kicking ass. Needless to say she's very prickly and the idea of building connections will sound like a bunch of bull. Please gently or not bully her into forming friendships. :'D

Vessel Type & General ideas: I'm pretty set on Offering: Lycan. Many of the abilities/features are close to her canon power set and I love a good pack bond instinct just to drive her crazy.

Prickly types bullied into forming friendships is always fun and she sounds neat! Mages were viewed as the most dangerous beings and hunted in Sirius's canon (he's an OC) so it will be interesting to see how they get along.
